Hawaii Five-OJesus, this network is really not exciting at all. I’m not sure what it is they are trying to accomplish at CBS, become the most-watched network again, get more young viewers, I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t working for me. Like, at all.

The Eye is already filled with (almost) nothing but cop-dramas all over the place, with dozens of CSI’s and then plenty of other cop shows, with or without a “twist”, so you could think maybe they have enough of it already, especially when it’s been going on for so long, you’d think maybe they’d want to try new things, pull out the creativity card and try new things, but alas, no.

The Streets Of San FranciscoCBS ordered a script for a remake of the classic The Streets Of San Francisco, the 1970s cop series that starred Michael Douglas and Karl Malden.

Sheldon Turner (The Longest Yard) and Numb3rs producer Robert Port are penning the script, with Simon West on board to direct the pilot if/when ordered. Other than that, it should try to bring the spirit of the original series into the new millennium, explained Turner.

According to him, “the times are very similar — it was the Vietnam War in the 1970s and the Iraq War now. There is the same sort of tension between generations, and we wanted to carry that to the new series.” I’m not really sure that’s right, but whatever.
