NumbersAs always on Mondays, ABC was the winner of the night in total viewers while CBS took the demo. As for the others? Well, they try to survive… You can be sure Fox is dying for its ‘09 lineup packing House and 24 together to come to life!

At 8.00 CBS started off more than very well, both The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother getting more than 10 million viewers ! The former opened with a new series high at 10.19 million viewers and 3.9 on the demo, while the later had a new season high with 10.04 million and a nice 4.3 on the demo !

Prison Break: Selfless

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | November 25, 2008

Prison Break(S04E12) Last week we left Michael pretty much face to face with Scylla, or the “vault” which contained that damned thing. They were getting really close to put an end to all of this mess, it was almost over. Left to do was (a) get Scylla out of the box; (b) leave the place without being dead or anything similar; and (c) find something else for the show to continue for the coming weeks.

This was a very strange episode, I’ll tell you that, and with it we will also have to talk about the show in itself. It’s pretty much official that this is the last season of the show, so we know it’s all going to end very soon. How soon? Well, that’s the big question, and I wonder if for some people it won’t be sooner than what they’d originally thought it would be…

Prison Break Is Over

Wentworth MillerPeople have been wondering whether or not Prison Break was (finally) coming to an end, especially after two more episodes have been added to production schedule, episodes which could serve as series finale.

In a recent interview Wentworth Miller confirmed that the show would end with the current fourth season, explaining that while there hasn’t been any official word from Fox yet, everyone working on the show knew it was the end, adding that he was happy to leave on a high note — well, surely it’s a better than after last season, indeed.

Anyone surprised by the news ? Did you want a fifth season of the show ? Do you think Michael will get out of this long journey alive, and live hapily ever after on a boat with Sara ?

Prison Break: Quiet Riot

Prison Break(S04E11) We’re getting close. Real close. Alright, so sure, it’s been quite a while now that we’ve been getting closer and closer to this mysterious “box” that they call Scylla, and we still have no clue of what it really is, and we’re still just close, maybe closer, not not quite there yet, but don’t worry this is going to change, I mean it will have to, at some point, it’s required by law.

What’s really getting scary, is Scylla. Not in itself, I’m sure in itself it’s just a big box that wouldn’t harm no one, but the big revelation of what it is, exactly, what the Hell is that highly secured thing that needs six cards - one of which the A-Team is still missing by the way - to be accessed. We’ve had all this build up about this mysterious Scylla the whole season, it probably started last season already in fact, and I’m worried that once we’ll find out what it is, it might be quite laughable.

Monday’s Numbers [11.17.2008]

NumbersCBS comedy night is definitely doing wonders, there’s no question there. While it had a little less viewers than a week ago (-300 000) for its series high, The Big Bang Theory still did very well with 9.70 million viewers and 3.7 on the demo. And that led into a new high for How I Met Your Mother and 9.84 million viewers, and an excellent 4.3 on the demo.

Last week it was a tie, and this week - while and having almost 9.5 million less viewers - How I Met Your Mother beat Dancing With The Stars on the demo. Clearly things are doing well for CBS. On NBC it might not look it, but it was good news as well. Chuck had half a million more viewers than last week, and a new season high with 6.80 million viewers and 2.6 on the demo.

The End Of Prison Break… ?

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | November 13, 2008

Prison BreakCurrently in its fourth season, which is better - or less worse - than its third season in Sona, Prison Break has been struggling in the ratings, getting the worst performances yet averaging barely 6 million viewers and 2.4 on the demo thus far.

When Fox released its mid-season schedule, fans of Michael and the rest of the A-Team surely noticed that Prison Break was nowhere to be seen, and announced to be coming back at a later date. Now, actors of the Fox drama have been notified by 20th TV that they might go on and shoot two additional episodes. No word yet as to what those would be, writers have yet to pitch ideas about it, but it sounds likely that those could be used to give the show a final conclusion.

Prison Break: The Legend

Prison Break(S04E10) Last week was all about Mahone. I mean, maybe not really, but let’s pretend it was anyways because that was most definitely the highlight of the episode. After that, instead of going back to a standard episode with not necessarily one character more important or involved than the others, it seems writers decided to keep the emphasis on someone.

The problem is, it didn’t come from an heroic action or something that would be just as kick-ass or awesome to watch as Mahone finally, after weeks and weeks of suffering and looking half-dead, got to get his revenge and kill his son’s murderer. Now, this week it felt completely off, at least it sure did for me, to the point that, with their insistence to bring that thing up again, it got annoying a little.

Monday’s Numbers [11.10.2008]

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | November 11, 2008

NumbersAfter Mondays with special programs due to elections or baseball, last night was finally a regular Monday, something we haven’t seen in three weeks. And in the end, results are pretty much the same for CBS and ABC, but both NBC and Fox are going down.

At 8.00 the CBS comedies prove once again how strong they are, The Big Bang Theory scoring a new series high and reaching 10 million viewers (10.01 million) for the first time ! In fact, during that first half-hour the comedy was also the number one show on the demo, as Dancing With The Stars only pulled a 3.8 by then. That led into How I Met Your Mother also doing very well, a little lower in viewers (9.71 million) but stronger on the demo (4.1)
