* Here we go for another very busy day, as new season/series premiere are added to the schedule !
* At 8.00 things start on Fox with the season premiere of The Simpsons, for its 20th season! D’oh! How many of you are younger that this show ??
* At 8.30 it’s the season premiere of King Of The Hill
* At 9.00 on ABC it’s the season premiere of Desperate Housewives, even though the show isn’t what it used to be and that flash-forward thing isn’t anywhere near as exciting as they’d like you to believe…
* Meanwhile on CBS it’s the return of Lilly Rush for the season premiere of Cold Case
* On HBO there’s a new episode of True Blood
* While on Showtime it’s another sort of killer, with the season premiere of Dexter
* And on Fox the coemdy night continues, with the season premiere of Family Guy of course !
* Followed at 9.30 by the season premiere of American Dad
* Then at 10.00 on ABC it’s the season premiere of Brothers & Sisters
* CBS has the season premiere of relocated The Unit
* On HBO the boys are back in a new episode of Entourage
* Hank and his addiction to sex are back on Showtime for the season premiere of Californication
* While AMC has a new Mad Men
* And finally I’d like to add that at 11.00 on HBO is the series premiere of a new animated show, The Life & Times Of Tim. I haven’t really heard much about it to be honest, but I saw a couple of clips and I have to say this looks pretty darn funny, my guess is you don’t want to miss that. The description might sound a little like CBS new sitcom Worst Week, “Tim is a young guy who always tries to do the right thing, but for some reason the world conspires against him. In many episodes, he’s trying to better himself, but the harder he tries, the worse things become.”
But it’s nothing like it. For starter, it’s animation. Yeah, “wow!”, I know. But this actually looks less crazy and I could see that go on for way longer than CBS’ series. I’m also inclined to think this might even be funnier, but we’ll see. And if you can’t wait, here’s a little preview that I found hilarious :

Now that the Emmys are over, it’s of course the time where everyone look back at what happened and tries to finds what it means for the world in TV land. Now, the show in itself wasn’t really good, I mean we had those five stupid hosts who couldn’t do the work on one. Not only that, but Christ does Howie Mandel ever shut up !??
I’m sorry, but the guy couldn’t stop talking, he was constantly there saying shit again and again and again again, I’m sure many people all over the world up to our Mars enemies were yelling, throwing stuff at and probably even shut down their TV because he wouldn’t stop. Plus, as a result we’ve seen how some bits were dropped, people got their acceptance speech cut off right in the middle, what a mess!
But it’s a fact, it’s the cold reality of television these days : networks don’t care about quality anymore, (most of) the industry doesn’t care about quality anymore.

* Excited about the Emmys ?? I’m not. I guess I should be, but they always get things wrong and so my interest vanished somewhat… More exciting is the list of all (new) series on this week. How I Met Your Mother ? Heroes ? The Mentalist ? The Office ? And plenty plenty more ? Yes please!!
* As for tonight, on ABC we have, of course, the The 60th Emmy Awards at 8.00
* At 9.00 on HBO there’s a new True Blood, the show about vampire that makes you sleep…
* At 10.00 still on HBO still gets better with Vince, E & co in a brand new episode of Entourage
* On AMC there’s a new Mad Men
* And Lifetime has a new episode of Army Wives

* Sunday officially joins the group of days offering new/returning series already, courtesy of HBO. Not that this week will be low on such events, with the return of Terminator and the premiere of Fringe, among others…
* At 9.00 it’s th ebig debut for Alan Ball’s new series, True Blood. I’ve seen an early screener, and I’m shocked that some call it “one of the best new series this fall” because it really isn’t. Slow, boring, pretencious, takes itself too seriously, no really I was less than impressed. If that’s the best HBO could do with vampires, maybe they should have just got Moonlight instead… maybe their vamps go out in the sun, but at least the show’s good and entertaining, two things True Blood failed to be
* At 10.00 it suddenly gets busy. On HBO it’s the much anticipated return of the boys of Entourage ! It’s been so long I don’t even know when we last saw them or what happened to them…
* And as usual, on AMC there’s a new Mad Men
* While on Lifetime it’s a new Army Wives
