Tonight On TV: True Blood series premiere, Entourage season premiere, Mad Men, Army Wives

* Sunday officially joins the group of days offering new/returning series already, courtesy of HBO. Not that this week will be low on such events, with the return of Terminator and the premiere of Fringe, among others…
* At 9.00 it’s th ebig debut for Alan Ball’s new series, True Blood. I’ve seen an early screener, and I’m shocked that some call it “one of the best new series this fall” because it really isn’t. Slow, boring, pretencious, takes itself too seriously, no really I was less than impressed. If that’s the best HBO could do with vampires, maybe they should have just got Moonlight instead… maybe their vamps go out in the sun, but at least the show’s good and entertaining, two things True Blood failed to be
* At 10.00 it suddenly gets busy. On HBO it’s the much anticipated return of the boys of Entourage ! It’s been so long I don’t even know when we last saw them or what happened to them…
* And as usual, on AMC there’s a new Mad Men
* While on Lifetime it’s a new Army Wives
