The Sarah Silverman Program: Bored of the Rings

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E01) Oh yeah!! *cough* Okay, I’ll try not to spoil anything at first, just in case. But I just saw the episode, and this seems like an impossible task at the moment, so let’s avoid the subject, and talk and Sarah herself instead.

Ain’t she pretty? She sure is, and underneath that sexy innocent look of hers is hiding a a mean, crude horrible monster saying terrible offensive things, a monster that either you’ll find hilarious and love, and just won’t be able to stand as she’ll appear to you as a fake bitch. Wow, that’s not nice. And not true, she really is hilarious, I love her comedy and I don’t see how anyone would disagree.

If for some weird and unexplainable you do disagree, just don’t watch the show, I don’t think you’ll ever like it, at all.

The Sarah Silverman Program: Joan of Arf

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E02) Ahh, Sarah Silverman. What could possibly be said about her and her “Program” ? Well, for starter I said just last week, when the new season premiered, how glad I was to see her back, and true to her self and sense of humor. I had really enjoyed the episode, thanks to this.

Funnily enough, this episode was a little different than the usual. Now let’s be clear : it was still The Sarah Silverman Program, and it was the same sense of humor, and don’t get this wrong, it was still funny.

All of that goes without saying. So there, I said it.

The Sarah Silverman Program: Face Wars

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E03) Aaaaaand back! Okay so that was a long pause between this and South Park, but I had to go away from the screen in between. But now I got back, sat down and I was still laughing at the fresh memory of that awesome episode of South Park, and this being Sarah Silverman, I was expecting a lot from the show.

And after the previous episodes so far, I had absolutely no reason to worry, quite the contrary, so I went into it ready to laugh, again. After last week when Sarah surprised us by caring for others, this time we were right back on tracks!

The Sarah Silverman Program: Doodie

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E04) I think there’s one thing that can be said for sure about this little show : when you tune in each week, you don’t really know what to expect; Or, you really don’t know what to expect. The only thing you can be sure of, is that it’ll be funny. You will laugh out loud.

Unless you don’t like her humor, and then you probably wouldn’t be watching, so it’s fair to say you knew you were in for some good time. But that’s pretty much it, because it could really go anywhere.

And I think this is even more true with this second season.

The Sarah Silverman Program: Ah, Men

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E05) Okay, so after I watched the last episode of the epic trilogy of South Park, I sat down for a new episode of The Sarah Silverman Program. And I was expecting some pretty funny shit, as usual with the show.

A show that as I told last week, seems to be trying new things this season. Not that is ever was confined in a strict formula, but there was a clear pattern each week. But not last week, it was still hilarious, but it was also different. And this week ?

The Sarah Silverman Program: Maid to Border

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E06) Well, I hope you enjoyed this episode of The Sarah Silverman Program because it’s the last one you’ll get in a while. No, this was not the season finale, there’s still seven more episodes to come, and no, it has nothing to do with the strike either. It was planned that way all along, Comedy Central only airs the first half of the season this fall.

And before we leave Sarah behind for a while, let’s have a look back at this last episode before the break. One that follow the same path as introduced a few episodes back already… kind of.

The Sarah Silverman Program: High, It’s Sarah

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E07) Just like with South Park, it’s been a while since we last had a new episode of The Sarah Silverman Program. I’m not sure this was as much an intentional mid-season break as it was caused by the writers’ strike, but either way the results are the same, and more important is that the second season can now continue. Note however that from now on the show won’t be the lead-out of South Path anymore, and starting today the show’s regular timeslot is Thursdays at 10.30 – meaning that yes, there’s already another episode tonight!

But before that we obviously have to spend a little time on this one, which was both not your typical episode of The Sarah Silverman Program and yet at the same time exactly what you’d expect from the show. It wasn’t really the typical episode in that the main story of the episode wasn’t exactly Sarah-centric, not in the way they usually are - but I think that’s actually a good thing.

The Sarah Silverman Program: The Mongolian Beef

The Sarah Silverman Program(S02E08) While it wasn’t really a season premiere, on Wednesday the show was still back after some long months, and it came back with a really funny episode. As I said then, it was also an “unusual” episode, because since she was high for the most part, Sarah wasn’t her usual self as we’ve come to know her so far. Last night however things were “back to normal”.

Meaning that Sarah was once again the center of the universe, that she didn’t care about anything or anyone else than herself, and decided to take things into her own hands and do something because no one else seemed to be willing to. Of course, that was probably because there was nothing to do in the first place, but you know her.

DVR Cleaning: Crusoe [series premiere], Grey’s Anatomy, The Sarah Silverman Program

CrusoeI’m a little late, but here we go with my weekly DVR Cleaning. This time I’ll talk about the latest NBC series, Crusoe, which wasn’t as bad as you might have thought/expected it would be — or is it that had such low expectations it was scientifically impossible that anything could have been as bad as I was expecting it to be?

Also a few words about Grey’s Anatomy and the whole lotta love that’s lacking these days, and of course the latest episode of The Sarah Silverman Program, since I didn’t had time to watch it on Thursday.

DVR Cleaning: Chuck and The Sarah Silverman Program

ChuckYeah, I know, this one comes in a bit late, indeed… the week-end is already over with and we’re moving into a brand new week of TV, but I still had a few things on my DVR I hadn’t gone to yet.

I didn’t get a chance to get to it any sooner, sorry about that, but now that I have I thought I would talk about a couple of shows. So let’s not waste any more time and as a new episode is coming in tonight, we’ll begin by having a quick look at last week’s episode of Chuck first; After that we’ll talk about The Sarah Silverman Program.
