(S04E01) I will be honest with you : when The 4400 came back with a new season, I missed the show. No I mean, I didn’t watched it! I missed it, completely. Shame on me. Especially since it’s not like there’s much on TV right now.
Anyways, I’m fixing this and watching the three first episodes now. But let me be honest with you, again : I had forgot quite a lot about the story going on there.
I do hate those “Previously on… crap that they always have before every episode, it’s always stupid, not in order, blahblahblah… I hate such reminders.
Yet, this one time, I was pretty pleased there was one. I will hate every others to come for sure, but when a new season starts, and after all those great shows we set our mind into, it can really be a nice thing. Once.
Anyhow, now that I remember what the show is about and how we were left, let’s get into it. With this “dream scene. I’m not sure what is was exactly.
Just a dream, or some kind of “vision”. And if so, did it reveal anything to come, or not.
Either way, it was easy to spot it was a “dream, and I don’t believe the ability each character had are any signs of anything. I do wonder about the colors a little, though.

Shows: The 4400
In Series: The 4400 Season 4

(S04E02) Fears. Turning your fears into phobias. That is the new ability of the week, and once again it does not come from one of the 4400, but someone who took Promicin.
I understand this was a major thing, and that a huge lot of people have been injecting themselves, probably safe to say more than 4400, but still. I hope they won’t forget about the 4400, those from whom it all came, and that might not get random abilities, but maybe have some link to those who are responsible for everything in the first place.
I don’t have nothing against Jordan (not seen here) and its Promicin, I just hope they won’t forget what the show is about.
So fears were the main character in this episode, and, funnily enough, it happened to me too : as I was watching it, all my fears became real.
Namely, my fears of bad writing, of shitty plots, or dumb characters.

Shows: The 4400

(S04E03) Dear Lord, what happened to The 4400 ?? Really, is it me, or is the show not as good as it used to be. Far from it.
And also, what the fuck happened to the 4400 ?? I mean, it’s all about people getting Promicin these days!
Before talking about the episode in itself, more general thoughts. I thought I read, a while ago, that after all the new shows like Prison Break, Heroes, and so on where the story are moving on, every episode. After those great shows, where things always moves on, and especially after the awesome season of Lost, making revelations and giving (lots of) answers, I read the writers of The 4400 would “react.
What I mean is, not being so much “old school, with one new 4400, or more one new ability, per episode and not much about the overall story.
Well,  for now, it’s not really there yet. Worst thing is, just like with the previous episode, things are not going good.

(S04E04) As you may know I’ve had some doubts, or mixed feelings, about the new season of The 4400. And here we are now, one more episode later, and things aren’t really much better.
Again, I’m not sure if this is me, and how I look at the show, or the show itself, but it really doesn’t feel so good, to me.
I can really be influenced by the new shows, and amazing episodes we’ve had (Lost!), but…

Shows: The 4400
In Series: The 4400 Season 4

(S04E05) A new episode of The 4400, a new ability from a new “extra-crispy. That’s one of the complaints I had with that show. That, and the fact that the main story wasn’t really moving.
Well, it’s all gone now. This new episode of The 4400 was not like the others, it was much better ! And that feels so good.
I never lost my faith in the show, or considered stop watching or anything remotely close to this, but I sure didn’t enjoy it as much as I did this time. No more new character to follow and only a little on the main, big story. This time it was all about it!

Shows: The 4400

(S04E06) So ever since this new season started, I complained that not only the main story didn’t move (fast enough), but also the show seemed to have forgot that it was called, and supposed to be about, The 4400.
Then came last episode, and it was all about the main story. And it was great. And not to stop there, now we have this episode, where not only the story keeps moving but we’re also full back on track!

Shows: The 4400
In Series: The 4400 Season 4

(S04E07) Another episode where we don’t get introduced to any new 4400 or “extra crispies”, but the main story moves on. Once again it’s all about the main plot and our characters finding out little by little a bit more about the fight, and by fight I mean way, that’s going to happen, and also deciding to which side they belong.
Overall it was a good episode, and while nothing extraordinary occurred, there’s been some pretty important development.

(S04E08) So we continue with another episode that doesn’t involve a new “extra crispies”, or even a new 4400, but deals with the main story of the show. Unlike previous ones the lack of introduction of new character wasn’t the only difference : this episode could feel as one where “not much” happened, overall.
But don’t let appearance fool you, that episode dealt was dead on on the main plot of the show, and made things moved. It might not have occurred during this episode itself, but it was far from a “filler” episode.

Shows: The 4400
In Series: The 4400 Season 4

(S04E09) This was a pretty unique of The 4400, and in some ways you could see some similarities between this one and the one from last week. In some ways, or at first only, because the two episodes were not quite the same not will they have the same impact of the show, despite both dealing with the mail plot of the show while not actually being right there.
And not to spoil anything right now, I will still say that even if it did respond to a few remarks or criticisms I had formulated in the past, while last week’s episode was pretty great, this one on the other hand, was not.

(S04E10) So I wasn’t much pleased by last episode, which to me hugely felt like some sort of a filler. Don’t get me wrong though, it wasn’t a bad episode, but it really wasn’t the best of what the show could do.
Needless to say I wanted to get more from this new one, and I’d say that I got half what I wanted. It’s not that it was a filler, but the whole story about Isabelle still feels filler-ish to me, including in this episode.
But that wasn’t all that happened this time, and everything else was all you could want but, filler.
