(PreAir) Sure, there is a writers’ strike going on and as a result most shows have already or will very soon completely disappear, as networks run out of new episodes. For some shows there are still a few episodes waiting, but not much unfortunately. Some shows however have a good handful of episodes ready, for one reason of another. And one of the the shows in this situation is no other than Fox’s new series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
The order was for 13 episodes, not all have been completed but Fox should have about at least 9 episodes ready, which is quite good : that’s more than the 7-episodes second season of Jericho CBS hopes will do great, or than the half season of Lost ABC has in the can (8 episodes).
And there’s no doubt already that this show most definitely the most anticipated new series of 2008. It doesn’t mean it’s good, I mean remember the most anticipated season last year ? It also dealt with “futuristic machines” looking like human beings, almost. It was called Bionic Woman, and was the worst piece of crap ever. How about this one ?

Reminder : Tonight is the night where the future begins to come back and fight for its survival, or something like that. Yes, people, Fox’s action hit drama with a way too long title, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, premieres tonight at 8.00 !!
I’ve seen the pilot already - you can read my review here - and let me tell you that you’re in for a great hour of entertainment, one that I highly recommend to anyone, and I would do so even if there was no strike and you already had lots and lots of shows to watch every day. It’s packed with action, obviously, but there is still an actual story, and no, you don’t need to be a Terminator fan to either get it or enjoy the show. (Truth be told, I may have watched the movies, but I’m not a fan.)
If you have never seen the movies, or completely forgot everything about them, here’s about all you’ll need to know in order enjoy the show tonight.

So, the most anticipated show of 2008 premiered last night, everyone watched it (I hope), why did you think of it ? Was it good, or not ? Did it live up to the hype ?
I did watch it, and I sure did enjoyed it. Of course, after a more than disappointing Bionic Woman, maybe some of you were reserved and didn’t had very high hopes or expectations for the show, but even if you had, I think the episode was pretty good, and set things up for what could be, and hopefully will be, a very good show.
Did it work on you ? Are you hooked and eagerly waiting for the second episode, tonight ?

(S01E02) Finally, the second episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (couldn’t they think of a shorter name, really?) is here ! I’ve ben waiting for this one for along time, and I was really excited to sit back and watch it. I did not absolutely loved the first episode, but it was a pretty good and I really enjoyed it, so all I wanted from this new hour of Terminator was just about that.
Of course, if things were to improve and get any better, I wouldn’t be opposed to it, quite obviously. Now that the episode is over, I don’t know how you felt about it, but for me it’s pretty much about the same as the first one. So yeah, it’s pretty good… Give us the third one, now!

(S01E03) This is the real meal, when it comes to Mondays now. The Monday show we’re all waiting for, excited about a new episode coming our way. I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned I sure like the show so far, the two first episodes - though flawed - were pretty fun an delivered some solid hours of entertainment.
But also, they were mostly part of an “introduction”, they were setting things up and putting our character were they were going to be for, hopefully, some time. Now with the third episode serious things will start, because we’re entering the weekly routine of chasing Terminators and attempting to destroy Skynet, and it has be keep things up if it doesn’t want to loose its audience.

In Series: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1

(S01E04) After a little break last week the saga continues, and for its “return” we had a large summary of what happened next, as Fox is hoping to get new viewers into the show thanks to those Superbowl ads. Whether you were there for the three first episodes or just started this week doesn’t really matter, this episode was a good sign of what the show is.
It had pretty much all of its pros, except maybe a Terminator actually shown “in the flesh”, and by that I obviously mean without any flesh on, and it also had most of its flaws. And overall, it was still a fun hour of entertainment.

(S01E05) Time for a new hour of Terminator. It used to be only a couple of movies (what’s that? there’s a third one? are you sure?) but now thanks to Fox we get to see a new hour of Terminator every week or so, isn’t that cool ?
And despite not being perfect, so far I’ve enjoyed each episode and I’m always looking forward to the next. It always delivers a fun action-packed hour of entertainment, and sometimes it’s all you want from your TV shows. We can’t have something as good and intense as Lost every day, we couldn’t take it. But that doesn’t mean it can do anything, and be completely stupid, neither does it mean it can’t disappoint.

(S01E06) As I said before, this show might not be the greatest of all on TV, and it’s got flaws, but it’s a really cool show. It’s really fun to let yourself go into the “Terminator universe” for one hour every week, and so far there hasn’t been one episode that was really a let-down, that would be highly disappointing. Little things that don’t make sense or get annoying, sure, but overall it’s till fun.
This week was a very special episode, and it brought things to another level as everything got a little more complicated, but I really enjoyed it ! The show is cool, has some pretty nice special effects, but there’s also a story filled with so many time paradoxes you better not even try to list them, and it’s still all nothing but fun !

In Series: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1

(S01E07) There’s something quite special about this show, how it works, how it’s done. Well, there’s a lot of special things about it. For instance, this was only episode 7, so we’re still pretty early in the season for sure. But if the original episode order was for 13 episodes, (and no the show never actually got picked up for a full season order,) due to the (now ended) writers’ strike only 9 episodes have been produced.
And even though the strike is over and many shows are going back in production asap, like most newcomers this one isn’t one of them. So episode 9 will be the season finale, and so far we don’t know whether or not a second season will be ordered (but I sure hope so). More than that, next week the two remaining episodes will air back to back, putting an end to this season with an episode that may not have been intended to actually end the season !
And within the show itself, things are special as well.

(S01E08) Alright so last night on Fox aired the two last episodes of this first season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Fox still hasn’t renewed the show for a second season, but I’m hoping they will do so soon (We’ll see how well those two hours did later today). I know this can be seen as a two-hour season finale, but after finishing watching the first episode of the two, I don’t really feel like it.
Granted, I still haven’t seen episode 9, the very last one of the season, but it seems to me this episode was just like any other, and it did not end in the middle of something with a huge cliffhanger that says “to be continued”, no it was done very much like any other episode. There was no two-parter here, just two episodes put back-to-back by Fox. So I’ll talk about this one right now, and then I’ll go watch the next episode…
