(S13E01) The bad boys of South Park were back for their brand new and thirteenth season already, and I am not sure how good/funny an episode they just had for their return. It might all depend on your knowledge of the Jonas Brothers — as this episode decided to give them a key role of the episode. Often South Park does episodes that relates or depicts current events, or social phenomena, from the election of Obama to World of Warcraft.
After having their take on the whole High School Musical last season, they opened this new season by focusing on another “musical” hit : the Jonas Brothers. Now, I don’t really known anything about them, so I can’t tell how close to the truth their representation was, how close to the actual songs & lyrics what we got was, and maybe I’m missing lots of jokes because of it.

(S13E02) Last week’s episode wasn’t any kind of bad, but ended up being disappointing to me, mostly because it was a season premiere and, as such, I have to admit I expected more than just a typical South Park episode, I had hopes for something different, special, and even more hilarious than usual. Now this week there’s no more such thing as a season premiere, it’s just another episode of the (very fresh) new season.
I guess that means I’m not really allowed to say I was hoping for more than the typical SP episode, and complain about how “ordinary” (for South Park) this episode was might not sound fair. And yet, here I go… — but I won’t complain about the fact that this is the kind of episode you might expect from the show, or that they’ve been down the road of superhero before, and I was glad they weren’t forgotten BTW.

(S13E03) For the past two weeks, I’ve been saying how I felt disappointed and underwhelmed by what South Park had to offer, not because the episodes were bad (cause they were not), but because they were just exactly what you’d expect from the show, and (to me) failed to really deliver the goods, not just have a message and make fun of whatever they targeted this time, but also be freaking hilarious.
This week we got an episode that was also quite the same in that it was the typical South Park episode, with many elements and developments you just knew had to be there (though I won’t complain on predictability, because hadn’t they gone there I’d have been disappointed, you go Eric!), but something was very different about this one, something that had me wonder why they didn’t just open the season with it : it was freaking hilarious!!

(S13E04) This episode aired on April 1st, a day otherwise known as April Fools Day. This is true everywhere, not just in the South Park universe, but of course it does have a special meaning for fans of the show, as one time, about 11 years ago to the day, a new episode was coming up. Back then it was the second season premiere, and all fans were waiting for the answer, for Cartman’s Mom Is Still A Dirty Slut.
But instead, as an April Fools joke, we got a Terrance & Phillip special. If you remember that, you probably remember how frustrated you were back then, and it will then be no problem to understand how the boys felt this week, when they were actually waiting for their Canadians fart buddies, and in the same day it got replaced by some other crap.

(S13E05) This season might still be young, it’s already had its ups and downs, some episodes being nothing but hilarious, while others were your average South Park episode and others ended up being simply disappointing. This week, they did something they often do and that usually makes for a winning episode, as they focused a little less on the boys and a little more (among others) on the one and only Eric Cartman.
Cartman, who’s not fat at all, is pretty awesome in his own twisted way, and adding to that lots of pop culture references, mocking a few know figures and of course what might be regarded as the funniest joke of all time, and it would be hard not to get an episode that’s a great half-hour of hilarity.

(S13E06) I don’t know if there are rules, things that must or mustn’t occur during the course of one episode in order for one to enjoy it. For instance, while most episodes have of course the kids, at least the four most-known kids of South Park, as central characters of the story, every once in a while only a few of them, maybe one or two, are involved. Other times none of them is even seen at all.
When that happens, does that mean the episode is less good/funny than when it doesn’t? Or that you’re more inclined to enjoy it less? Sometimes the story makes sense, even with some of the craziness of this little town, and sometimes things get completely out of hands like you’d never have imagined… is one better than the other?
Take this episode for instance: now that was crazy, it couldn’t possibly have gotten any more out of hands than it did. I don’t know what it means in general, but for this one time, I thought it was absolutely hilarious!
