(PreAir) Reaper is a one of the new show from The CW, of which I got a chance to see a screener of its pilot. So I watched it, and here’s the result.
Honestly, having read the official description of the show I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I definitely expected something different than what the show turned out to be. Don’t get this the wrong way, though, I liked the show!

This season is filled with lots of shows, good and bad ones, and there is just so many I can’t watch them all in time. Actually, I called this “cleaning my DVR”, but it’s not empty, I still have yet to watch some shows from last week !
Anyways, here we go again, looking at Criminal Minds, Heroes, My Name Is Earl and Reaper. Almost only good stuff. Kind of.

With all the series on the air right now, it really doesn’t take much to get really behind on schedule! Not that I’m complaining, of course not, but I’ll admit that it’s not easy to watch everything in time week after week. So yeah, even this DVR cleaning comes in late, and to be honest there’s still a couple of things I haven’t watched, like Criminal Minds amongst others.
Anyhow, here we go with Reaper, Dirty Sexy Money, My Name Is Earl and Carpoolers.

(S01E04) Sometimes I just can’t understand why a good show doesn’t meet success, or why a bad one does. I haven’t watched this week’s episodes of both Heroes or Chuck, but I am pretty sure it won’t be good, because (this season) neither of them have been able to deliver one single episode that was actually worth watching, really.
Yet, I’m sure both of those are quite popular and still doing pretty good. Go figure.
On the other hand, here we have a new series that may not get as much press as others, after all it’s “only” on The CW, but it does well and there’s a reason for it : it really is a good show. Seeing how there was no House this week, I sure hope some who may have not tried it yet did tune in this time, so that they can start watching/recording from now on.

Here we go, I’ve just watched a few more episodes I had left waiting for me. I still got more waiting, but it’s like a never ending story, I can already see new ones coming in tomorrow night, and the next day, and the next day…
Well, actually I really hope they will, I don’t want a damned strike. I hope those stupid morons get the writers what they deserve so we can keep enjoying our great shows, because if there’s one thing I don’t want it’s more reality crap, reruns, or whatever shitty things they’ll come up with.
Anyways, if strike there is, it isn’t for tomorrow, and today we got reviews of Reaper, Criminal Minds and Supernatural. It was all good, well, mostly good.

You know the drill, every weekend I try to watch all that I couldn’t during the week. Yes, it’s true, I can’t watch everything during the week, there’s just too much to go through. But I don’t complain, I love that, and my busy week end as well. I realize that this is due to the strike, because if a deal had been worked out months ago networks would have had canceled quite a few of their new series already !
I guess we can thank the strike for helping networks giving more of a real chance to many shows, now let’s hope it doesn’t last too long so that it doesn’t end up hurting those very same shows, as well as others, in the end. Let’s all pray that the strike ends quick, I mean 4 weeks top would be the best. After that, things might get ugly…
But for now, here we go with new episodes of Reaper, Criminal Minds, My Name Is Earl and Scrubs.

(S01E07) So I’ve always enjoyed this little show, it’s always been a fun hour of entertainment. But last week I was pretty pleased with the episode, which I thought wasn’t only fun but also a first attempt to go in the right direction, and that is to get out of the formula it’s been kind of following ever since the pilot, more or less.
So obviously I was pretty curious as to see whether or not they would follow that path again this week. I hear many complaining that this show would be a “case of the week” show, with every week a new “monster” to send back to Hell… Like it’s a bad thing! I mean I know Lost is awesome and Heroes used to be great, but that doesn’t mean serialized is the only way to go !

(S01E08) So I’ve said it before, this show is really fun. It always delivers a fun hour of entertainment, and I always enjoy watching it and laughing all along the way. So I was obviously really happy to finally get time to sit and watch a new hour of Sam and his gang doing the Devil’s work. It’s always a very fun hour to go through, and this time was no different, quite obviously.
From the very start I had nothing but love for this show, yet I kept on reading other people having a few problems or complaints about it, and I (almost) always disagreed. Just like there were comparison between Reaper and Chuck and people tended to favor Chuck more, while I obviously was rooting for the Devil’s team.

(S01E09) Ah, so good to see Sam, Sock, Ben, and of course the Devil back this week. Last week we had to do without them, and I missed my dose of Reaper. I’ve always liked the show, and while others may have disagreed it seemed I thought that on more than one occasion they proved they were not limited by rules to follow in each and every episodes.
And this week was no exception, once again we were treated with a new story and development that are far from making Reaper a formula-show, or a simple monster-of-the-week kinda deal. It is so much more than that, and watching an episode of that show is always much fun.

Shows: Reaper

(S01E10) This show has always been a very good one, improving episode after episode, always delivering a good hour of entertainment. Like others I was worried, a bit, at first, that writers would get stuck with some kind of formula they’d go over each week, but soon signs were shown that they intended to break free from any such things and it is clear by now, I think, that they have.
Sure, there’s still things that always took place in the same order. First, you have to find the bad guy, then you can catch him. That’s not a formula, that’s an actual fact. Actually if there’s a constant on the show and how things are going down, it’s this one : the Devil is evil.
