(S04E01+E02) The big thing of the night, the thing we were all waiting for, despite being fully aware of the fact that, yes, it would make no sense whatsoever : the Prison Break return! The show that was once great and had a fantastic first season that should probably had remained the only season ever was back for, that’s right, its fourth season !!
Needless to say that much in another Fox’s action-packed hit-drama, 24, if you’re still watching this show you have to agree to let go lots of things like common sense, otherwise that won’t cut it. But the fact and the matter is, despite all of this ridiculousness we have to be willing to take from this show, it’s still fun to watch.

Shows: Prison Break
In Series: Prison Break Season 4

(S04E03) Here we go again, after all the cards that Scylla is made out of, and something tells me we’re going to be looking for those for quite some time this season. Last week we had a big two-hour season premiere, or two episodes back to back, it’s about the same anyway when it comes to this show. Point is, we had two episodes, it was the big return of the show and the reintroduction of Sara as well, and maybe that’s because of it, and how it made no sense, but that didn’t really do it for me.
Doesn’t mean I won’t be watching, because Prison Break is one of those shows, even if you know it makes no sense and even when it sucks, it just kicks ass! Doesn’t matter how far they go, you keep coming back for more because it’s fun, because it’s well done, and because you want to find out what the Hell is going on and how this whole thing is going to end eventually.
Also, to me that episode was the best one of this season so far.

(S04E04) I have said in the past that I wasn’t really that into this new season of Prison Break, not just because it didn’t make sense, cause we’ve gotten used to be that by now, and I was even willing to forget about the whole “Sara’s not dead after all” incident, and just try and enjoy this new season of whatever writers had come up this time.
But that’s where the problem lies : what they did come up with this season, doesn’t really do it for me. It doesn’t work, I’m not a fan of the A-Team, and let’s be honest, it really doesn’t make no sense at all. No I mean, take this episode for instance : you look at it, what happens, what they do, and then you just wonder : do writers even care/try anymore ?

(S04E05) At this point, this episode wasn’t much of anything else than your typical weekly hour of Prison Break. Which simply means that it always a little bit of the same, you know, there’s six cards out there, they need to copy each of every one of them, so they go after one new card every week. And so the stories goes…
I don’t really care about the cards, or Syla, or The Company, or nothing of what’s going on or at stakes here. And yet, I enjoyed this episode. I don’t know if it was having just seen the really bad (first hour of the) season premiere of Heroes or what, but despite all its flaws and everything, I felt this episode was pretty fun actually. You know, just seeing the A-Team doing his things and working their magic, it’s not like everything made sense, but it was fun.

(S04E06) Well, all in all I liked this episode. I mean, by the time now I think if you’re still watching the show you have a pretty good idea of what you’ll get. It’s not just any show, it’s Prison Break. As a matter of fact it’s more than that, it’s Prison Break season four. So you are not still tuning in if you don’t know what you will get from this, and if you do, well, you get exactly what you come for.
Which obviously means you should have a great time watching it. Oh sure, that doesn’t mean things actually made sense or that people were actually thinking before doing anything, of course not. Just like it doesn’t mean you had surprises, because it’s been long since the “twists” on this show don’t get anyone anymore, we can all see them come from miles.
But if you’re fine with all of that, this was fun, wasn’t it?

(S04E07) Say what you want about this season, but if you’re still watching you’ve made your peace with the way things evolved on Prison Break, and now that we’re here there’s at least one area in which you have to admit things have gotten better : unlike last season were, so many times, it felt like nothing happened at all, this season we’re not wasting (too much), things are happening, all the time.
The first cards were hard to get, and it was almost always the same thing over & over again. But recently they’ve tried to came up with new places to find the card holders and new ways to get close enough to them to copy the cards, much like after the first season behind bars, the second season had everyone on the run, after being locked up last season it feels this season they’re trying to move a bit more, and that includes moving the plot forward faster as well.

(S04E08) Last week, well last week there was no Prison Break, and you better have enjoyed this episode because next week there won’t be a new one either, we’re again in for a two-week wait. Anyways, the A-Team was getting very close to getting all the cards they need to move on to the other step, in fact they only needed one last card and they’re good to go.
Which is why they also started to look a but more into the second step, and last time we left Michael facing a “dear old friend”, no other than Gretchen. The very same joke threatening women who used him in Sona, tortured Sara and the whole thing. Needless to say, for them to work together seemed impossible, even more so when you you take into consideration that Sara should have be fine with it as well, and they insisted about how she was tortured - for some unexplainable reason - and very much affected by this traumatic experience.

(S04E09) After a little break for cause of World Series, Michael and the rest of the A-Team was finally back, and as slowly the plot is moving forward and we’re getting closer to Scylla, they also brought with them a little something to remind us of what the show once was. When it was new, fresh, exciting, and let’s be honest much better than what it is today.
It was the first season, in Fox River, a completely different setup. So to remind us of the good old days, Michael and his buddies decided to head back in a confined environment with walls everywhere, no sun light and no way out (well, not really but whatever). Now that had to remind you of that little place they escaped from, a place where also things wouldn’t go as according to plan and new plan had to be thought of on the way, usually getting more people on board for an operation that really couldn’t afford any more people.

(S04E10) Last week was all about Mahone. I mean, maybe not really, but let’s pretend it was anyways because that was most definitely the highlight of the episode. After that, instead of going back to a standard episode with not necessarily one character more important or involved than the others, it seems writers decided to keep the emphasis on someone.
The problem is, it didn’t come from an heroic action or something that would be just as kick-ass or awesome to watch as Mahone finally, after weeks and weeks of suffering and looking half-dead, got to get his revenge and kill his son’s murderer. Now, this week it felt completely off, at least it sure did for me, to the point that, with their insistence to bring that thing up again, it got annoying a little.

(S04E11) We’re getting close. Real close. Alright, so sure, it’s been quite a while now that we’ve been getting closer and closer to this mysterious “box” that they call Scylla, and we still have no clue of what it really is, and we’re still just close, maybe closer, not not quite there yet, but don’t worry this is going to change, I mean it will have to, at some point, it’s required by law.
What’s really getting scary, is Scylla. Not in itself, I’m sure in itself it’s just a big box that wouldn’t harm no one, but the big revelation of what it is, exactly, what the Hell is that highly secured thing that needs six cards - one of which the A-Team is still missing by the way - to be accessed. We’ve had all this build up about this mysterious Scylla the whole season, it probably started last season already in fact, and I’m worried that once we’ll find out what it is, it might be quite laughable.
