(S03E01) “…dary! Legendary!”
So, aren’t you glad to see Ted, Robin, Marshall, Lily, and of course the one & only Barney back? I sure am. But that’s not enough to make the episode legendary, or funny. So how did things turn out to be, did it live up to the expectations ? Because there was some.
A lot actually. Because it’s a great sitcom, for starters, and as such we expect to spend a great time laughing while watching it ; but also because we were literally left hanging on Barney’s mouth as last season ended.

(S03E02) So after the return of Robin and the transformation of going from Ted to Wild Ted last week, the evolution of the show continued with this week episode. Robin finally dumped her vacation boyfriend and is back to her true self, and Wild Ted is now over Robin and back in the wild with wingman Barney not trying to get drunk to forget her.
This is a nice evolution for sure, and as usual the show was awesome. That being said, it’s not perfect.

(S03E03) Well well. I watched this episode, and I must confess that I love that show. I really do, and as such I kinda want it to be brilliant, and funny, and some more. Maybe it means I do appreciate a bit more episodes than are only “okay”, maybe it does means that I’m more tolerant with the show, I don’t know.
Yet, after this one, I don’t feel so good. I think I was disappointed with this episode.

(S03E04) I was really waiting for this episode, because as I’ve said last time I really love the show, but I thought this season wasn’t as good as the previous ones were. It doesn’t mean that it was bad or that I did not laugh while watching, but it didn’t had the same amount and quality of funny, no.
And of all, last week was the most disappointing episode of the three this season, so I was really anxious to find out if it was still going down that line, and if finally they had their mojo back!

(S03E05) There is something I really don’t understand with this show. Why in God’s name isn’t it more popular ?? I mean I see people talking and watching sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory, and while I’ve nothing against it, it’s definitely filled with more real/accurate nerds or geeks than Chuck will ever be, in so many ways, and yes on occasion it is funny enough to make you laugh.
But honestly, it doesn’t compete with Barney and his crew, not even close. How I Met Your Mother is one of the best, funniest sitcoms on TV right now, it should be up there with The Office or 30 Rock, maybe CBS should consider move it to Thursdays, maybe that’s why it doesn’t work. Because everything the show does, it does it right.

(S03E06) Last time I wondered why the show wasn’t any more popular than it is, because it really deserves it. And yes, okay, during the first few episodes one may have been formulating a few worries as to whether or not it was still as good and funny as it used to be.
First off, this is irrelevant regarding the popularity of the show, which was more of a global appreciation of the show, all seasons included. Then, I think the announcement can be officially made now, it’s time : as the recent episodes have proven, the show is fully back, it is nothing but great fun to watch it and all signs of disappointment have been erased.
In others words, yes, this episode was great.

(S03E07) Despite its name and the obvious “mystery” that goes along in this show, who is the mother and wife of Ted Mosby, the show has never made his main focus to reveal this piece of information. Probably because, obviously, the idea of the show is to be about the journey that will take us there, more than the reveal in itself. And I really have no problem with that, because finding out who she is isn’t much of a concern to me.
I mean I want to know, but I’m not obsessing over it like I could for questions relating to that mysterious Island or the people apparently coming in. And along with the mother of Ted’s kids, there’s another mystery the writers have been throwing in, one that we got to see & learn more about and that’s maybe even as exciting if not more : finding out what happened to the cutest couple of all time, what made Lily more of a “hard-ass” and Marshall loose some air.

(S03E08) This season had been a little special, because while none of the characters actually left the show, there was some changes that went down since last season. Namely, Ted and Robin aren’t together anymore. And just like that, her character seemed to have a “problem” to fit in with everyone else since then. It’s like writers were a bit unsure of what to do with her now, or couldn’t just put her back in the gang as before the two dated.
This caused for a couple of episodes to have her stuck into her own stories, with wasn’t a good idea or gave funny result. Thankfully though, this didn’t last and as we’ve seen already she’s now back as a full member of the gang, this was confirmed this week and the show is now fully back to its usual pace. And yes, How I Met Your Mother is an awesome show. True story.

(S03E09) I’m usually trying to stay away from spoilers, and also not give them away in here without warning, but with this episode this became a little more difficult than usual, because as you’ve surely already noticed there’s some kind of spoiler in the title of the episode.
Now it is true to say that this will only be a very minor spoiler, not just because Slapsgiving is reference in the very first seconds of he episode, but also simply because if you are fan of the show and were checking from time to time www.slapcountdown.com you were probably expecting it already even without knowledge of this episode’s title.

(S03E10) Last week’s episode was number nine, and it was important because that number, when it comes to HIMYM episode, have a significance. Last year, it was the Slapbet. This year, it was Slapsgiving. Now the question is, what will it be next year ? It better involve another slap !
But that was no reason to expect anything different from that show, we expect it to be funny, and awesome, just because we do so every week, I mean this is the Barney show How I Met Your Mother after all !
This episode was constructed with two main stories, one leading to the other. The first one involved the whole gang, while the second one was a little more restricted party. A party I’m sure you guys would have loved too to be a part of, because it was awesome !
