(S02E11) With so many characters and so much going on in everyone’s lives, it’s not uncommon for a story to pop up one week only to be forgotten for a few weeks, if not disappear into the abysses never to come back again. This week it was Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side, and that allowed for many things to come to some kind of resolution. And of course, because you always need more drama, we also had lots of new doors opening to future complications.
If at first I liked Jenny when she tried to live her dream and make it on her own, if I was on her side when Rufus wasn’t willing to let her try, last week things changed as Jenny clearly took a wrong turn and went to the dark side. This wasn’t pretty, and it looked like it wasn’t going to be any prettier any time soon, as Jenny wanted to “divorce” her parents.

(S02E12) Finally Gossip Girl was back, and with an episode as good and strong as the show can deliver. Doesn’t mean it’s not flawed, it is (*cough*Aaron*cough*) but as always there are so many characters on this show and so much that happens in everyone’s lives that it doesn’t really matter, there’s good for everyone to enjoy. Because unlike other shows (*cough*Heroes*cough*), lots of characters does not hurt the show.
Sure, maybe you have your favorite and when they’re not around you miss them, but writers manage to get everyone to exists and most of them always find ways to cross the path of others, usually during some pretty big party – because that’s the way it goes on the Upper East Side.

(S02E13) Aw, Gossip Girl. Last time we were left with a very bad news on the way, and now comes another one : this was the last episode of the year. Sadly we’ll have to wait a few weeks before finding out what happens next, but at least The CW isn’t as stupid as others and the wait won’t be too long, next episode is scheduled for Monday, January 5th.
And we have a lot to think and wonder about, after this week’s episode. There is something all episodes of Gossip Girl might have in common, there is always an incredible amount of things that take place over the course of what is, really, only about 42 minutes. This episode was no exception, but it as also different in that there was a lot more of emotions on display.

(S02E14) Well well… some times a new year is time for (good) resolutions and welcome changes, and others things remain the same. As far as Gossip Girl is concerned, it was very much the later, there’s absolutely no question there. Before anything else, what this means is that for the first episode of the year we got an episode that was about as good as any of got last year.
We were left with the disappearances of Chuck, running away after Blair finally took it upon herself to let out those three famous words, and if you’ve seen the episode you know that all you could expect from those two was delivered (and more) in this great installment of the show.
It seems that writers would like to think of Serena & Dan as “the” couple of the show, but there’s no doubt the real stars are Blair and Chuck, and a special mention to both Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick for their great performances.
