(PreAir) I’ve said already that I was not feeling that new show, for two main reason. An obvious lack of inspiration from people who went for nothing but a new version of an old shows, but with better special effects than thirty years ago! And also, the way they announced they had cast Isaiah Washington to join in on the show, was a pretty bad sign about how they truly felt about the show in itself.
But of course I still wanted to see how it looked like, and I just watched a screener and, well, it feels like another Chuck to me, but not as bad.

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1

(S01E02) So after watching the pilot last week, I wasn’t very enthusiastic about the show. It really didn’t look like nothing but a hollow cliché and while it started well, I blame such numbers on the whole promotion NBC did for the show.
Because if there’s one thing NBC have been good at, at least for some of their new shows, not the best by the way, it’s promoting them. But over-promoting a show is not an indication of quality, quite the contrary one might even say.
Now that a second episode had gone by, what’s the verdict.

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1

(S01E03) It is true that after reading my review of last week’s episode of Bionic Woman, one could have guessed that I was done with the show. However, I did actually tune back in and watched this new episode.
This isn’t a change of heart of any kind, but I’m not completely fed up with the show yet, and I’d like to give them time. After all I’m the first to insult networks when they cancel series after only a few episodes, so it’s only fair that I try to watch more than a couple myself. I don’t always try as hard as I do now, it depends on the series itself mostly. For instance, it took my only one episode to be done with Cavemen, as anyone else I would assume hope, same goes for Cane who’s nothing but a yet another uninteresting soap I don’t care about.
But let’s go back on topic, and this new episode of the new yet not improved Bionic Woman.

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1

(S01E04) As time goes by I keep watching a few shows, but episodes after episodes I can tell a few of those series suck, and are never going to get better. The first example of this is Chuck, which I didn’t liked from the start.
Another one perfect example, is Bionic Woman, which I also did not like from even before I saw the pilot. Because they way they casted people for the show and promoted it, or had people to talk about it, was a pretty solid indication in my opinion.
So far, each and every episodes have done nothing but confirmed this.

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1
By fred | October 26, 2007
(S01E05) You may have noticed that for the last episodes, the little picture I used along with reviews the this show weren’t not of Jamie Sommers, but Sarah Corvus. Anyone what watched the show, or read a review, knows why. There is a reason for it, and whoever is working on this show is aware of that fact.
That is why, I think, they decided to write this episode. It was an attempt to “address” some of the complaints and problems they had with the show. Little spoiler if you didn’t watched the episode, but this week, I did not use a picture featuring Katee Sackhoff’s character, only because she wasn’t in it.
That was one of their failed attempts of the week.

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1

(S01E06) This episode felt a lot like last week’s episode, so much that if I remember correctly most of what I said last time, I think that - as far as I’m concerned - this episode only achieve one thing : to confirm everything I thought about the show, its characters, stories, everything.
And for those who don’t remember, that doesn’t mean anything good, at all. As the numbers showed this show is in trouble, and this episode was a new series low. And you know what, it only makes sense.

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1

(S01E07) God damnit! I just did something I think I shouldn’t have done, but I didn’t really remember what my last position about that show was, it was there and I could see it while I couldn’t yet watch any other shows, so I decided to be weak and press play.
God damnit! Why did I had to do that, I think I hate myself now. I want those forty something minutes of my life back, can I have them back, do you think there’s a way to get them back ? Cause I’m sure I could find plenty if things to do worth that time. It wouldn’t be that hard, really, because literally anything is better than watching this.
I need to blame the writers for that. They’re responsible. Not that it’s because they’re on strike that this show hasn’t been canceled yet, though it obviously is the case, but because they did write that crap, didn’t they ? Or maybe this is the first attempt of a show written by self-proclaimed writers who are in fact a bunch of people from the studios ?
No, forget that, it wasn’t that bad. (Although it really was, that bad.)

Shows: Bionic Woman
In Series: Bionic Woman Season 1
By fred | November 29, 2007
(S01E08) Due to circumstances beyond my control I ended up starting by watching this show first. Only now that I did it, I realize that the sign on the door title of the episode, “Do Not Disturb”, was actually meant for all of us to be taken literally.
We really shouldn’t have bothered with it, because again this week what there is left to say is: what an incredible waste of time that was. I’m pretty convinced that this show was doomed to fail from the start, and if this hadn’t been the season where writers decided to go on strike, I am questioning the very fact that NBC would even have the pilot on the air.
