Wednesday’s Numbers

It’ll be quick because there wasn’t much on TV. Not only that, but Fox had what? Yet another installment of American Idol. So of course it was way ahead of any competition. You know, with more than 20 million viewers while other network can’t get 9 million… Especially with a lack of written content, Fox is having a great time these days!
Law & Order: Criminal Intent was one hour earlier and facing Idol, no wonder it lost 1.3 million viewers since last week. Deal Or No Deal came after, and only had Moment Of Truth to go against, so it was easier to do well, and with 9 million viewers it’s, well, better ? It is 700 000 more viewers than Law & Order: Criminal Intent last week, but it was facing Idol. When facing the same game, NBC drama had 9.1 million viewers. And last week at 8.00, DOND while facing Idol had 9.4 million viewers. So no, it’s not really better…
Much worse, Deal Or No Deal isn’t a good lead-in for Law & Order, which at 10.00, and despite still winning the slot, the drama was not able to have 10 million viewers, loosing close to two million viewers and hitting a season low (9.6 million).
