Tuesday’s Numbers

By fred | April 9, 2008

American Idol was on last night, so obviously Fox won the night, both in total viewers and on the demo, as the reality program was, once again, the most-watched program of the night.

But CBS welcomed the return of NCIS at the same time, and while beaten the show still resisted a lot more than anything else ever did. American Idol was up with 24 million viewers, 10 million more viewers then CBS drama.

At 9.00 it was time for the Alphabet to take the lead, with a new installment of Dancing With The Stars at 16.5 million viewers. Meanwhile 11.6 million viewers watched Hell’s Kitchen, in other words the show couldn’t keep half of the audience from its lead-in. Not to worry though, it was a clear winner on the demo, with 5.4 while The Biggest Loser on NBC had 4.3

Finally Boston Legal was back at 10.00 on ABC, and won the slot with 10.2 million viewers, while the rerun of Law & Order: SVU on NBC took the demo (3.0) But the most “interesting” bit of info has to come from CBS, where Secret Talents Of The Stars performed pretty poorly with only 4.6 million viewers and a 1.5 on the demo. Dead last on all fronts, it should be noted how even at its worst Jericho used to perform quite better, both in viewers as well as on the demo.
