Tuesday’s Numbers

Last night Fox welcomed American Idol back on, and with it easily won the night again. A night where, except for Jericho and Til Death, not counting reruns of course, you had nothing but unscripted programs on. And here I was thinking the strike was over…
Not much to say at 8.00, Idol was first with almost 24 million viewers and Dancing With The Stars behind with only 10 millions viewers. One hour later it was pretty much the same, except Idol had 1.7 million more viewers and DWTS had 7.5 million more viewers than one hour before. And much like last week, Fox crushed ABC on the demo (10.1 vs 3.8)
Might be noted though that a repeat of Reaper grew from its lead-in, a new Beauty And The Geek. Note to The CW: it doesn’t mean that you should cancel Beauty And The Geek (although it kinda does), what it really means is you have to renew Reaper !
Also, Til Death had 10.8 million viewers, which sounds good like that, but coming in after a lead-in at 25.5 million viewers, that’s actually quite bad, since a majority of viewers (14.7 million) went away.
Finally at 10.00 Jericho said its goodbye, and it didn’t had any effect really, 6 millions of fans were there, as they were every Tuesday this season, but that’s it. It’s a little better than last week, but a little less good on the demo…
