Tuesday’s Numbers

Oh crap. Okay so at this point it’s almost official : Jericho won’t get a third season.
There’s really not much to say about last night : American Idol was watched by almost everyone, the rest struggled to exists. Fox was watched by more people than all other networks combined, and won the night, hands down, in both total viewers as well as on the 18-49 demo. Not much at 8.00, about the same an hour later, and the numbers are pretty much the same as last week.
Then, at 10.00, came Jericho. And though the situation is about the same as last week, the numbers are worst. Once again Jericho came dead last on its slot, but this time it didn’t even get 6 million viewers ! Down from 7.2 million to 5.9 million viewers, it’s a new low. This season is actually pretty good, but no one seems to be watching. What a shame! Keep it up that way and CBS will not only regret they ever brought the show back, but also wonder whether they should cancel it before the seven episodes aired…
No, I don’t think they’ll actually cancel the show, but those numbers are really bad. And yes Jericho did beat Boston Legal on the demo again, but it was more next to last than second really.
