Thursday’s Numbers
By fred | January 11, 2008
Well, last night was probably was one of last time a competitive Thursday looked that good, because many shows won’t be coming back before the strike is over. And networks can lie and pretend all they want, no reality crap will do as good as CSI or Grey’s Anatomy.
But an hour before those two came, Ugly Betty was also back and did quite good, with numbers it hadn’t done recently (9.9 million, 3.2) The comedy night of NBC, or what’s left of it, got quite mixed result. While My Name Is Earl did good, with 7.7 million viewers and a 3.7 on the 18-49 demo, lead-out 30 Rock didn’t perform as good I’m sad to say; loosing 1.7 million viewers.
At nine things went down the way they usually do, CSI coming in first in total viewers (18.1 vs 17.6 million) while Grey’s Anatomy won on the 18-49 demo (7.0 vs 5.0) Things were as usual, but all numbers were quite lower than they used to, and the 20 millions seem to be long gone. For example, in November CSI was close to 22 million viewers, and one year ago Grey’s Anatomy was watched by over 23 million viewers (and scored a 9.3 on the 18-49 demo).
At 10.00 Without A Trace won the night, with also a lower performance than it once did. The little boost from last week on E.R. was still having effect this week, while Big Shots, well, still not doing good (6.8 million). It’s pretty clear that the end of the strike will be the end of the show, too.
All numbers of the night, as usual, in a nice chart below :
