Thursday’s Numbers

This Thursday CBS had s a full night of fresh episodes, unlike other networks were reruns were legion, and the results speak for themselves : CBS was the clear winner of the night with 16.5 millions viewers. Fox came second with only 8.3 million. CBS was also a winner on the 18-49 demo with 4.9, long ahead of NBC with 2.7 and Fox with 2.6 Meanwhile, you can tell ABC was on rerun mode…
At 8.00 CBS started strong taking the spot with Survivor at 14.5 million viewers (half a million more than last week) and 4.5 on the 18-49 demo. Fox came second with Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader (9.0 million viewers) but NBC did stronger on the 18-49 demo thanks to a rerun of The Office (2.7 vs 2.5)
Smallville came back for one last episode this year, and was watched by 700 000 viewers less than the last new episode a month ago.
At 9.00 as you’d expect CSI was the clear winner, even improving since last week by 1.1 million viewers, and with Grey’s Anatomy in rerun mode (7.2 million) it took over the 18-49 demo as well (6.1)
Things weren’t so well for 30 Rock losing 200 000 viewers again, down to 5.6 million viewers. It came second on the 18-49 demo with 2.8, so long after CSI. Unlike its lead-in Supernatural improve since it’s last new episode, with 300 000 more viewers (3.2 million)
At 10.00 CBS’s hit drama Without A Trace was way ahead of the competition again, with 15.1 million viewers (2.4 million more than last week) and 4.0 on the 18-49 demo. For the first time after Grey’s Anatomy, although both in rerun, Private Practice didn’t do so well with 4.8 million viewers only.
