Thursday’s Numbers

Last night CBS welcomed not one but two of its drama back, and one of them is the highest rated of them all, so it’s not a surprise they easily won the night, both in total viewers with over 6 million more viewers overnight than the closest competitor, as well as on the demo with a shinning 4.6 while every other network averaged below 3.0
At 8.00 things started well for The Eye with an always strong Survivor, while on ABC Miss Guided had its last two episodes, of the season officially, but of the series I would imagine. Meanwhile on NBC was the return of some comedy that’s actually funny with a one-hour special of My Name Is Earl, with 7.5 million viewers and a nice 3.1 on the demo (more than twice what Miss Guided did).
At 9.00 as expected CSI was a clear winner with over 20 million viewers (20.4) while the closest competition only had half of that. A pretty good result, and a strong performance on the demo as well (5.8) but of course there wasn’t really any competition : except for the game on Fox (Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, 10.3 million) it was nothing but reruns, and nothing reached 5 million viewers.
At 10.00 Without A Trace was back and did pretty well as well, with 15.4 million viewers and a 4.1 on the demo. Meanwhile, things aren’t looking so good for Eli Stone, with only 5.2 million viewers, who got crushed on the demo by reruns of The Office (2.3 vs 1.6) ! Not good, of course Eli Stone has to deal with a pretty low lead-in, as reruns of Lost never perform well (4.1 million, 1.3)
