Thursday’s Numbers
By fred | March 21, 2008
Wow, what happened last night !? How could NBC be the most-watched network of the night ? Did they have some pretty amazing and heavily watched program on ? Well… yes, NBC did better than the past weeks on Thursday nights for a while now, with 8.6 million people. Also turns out that last night, that was enough to be the most-watched program of the night.
At 8.00 NBC won the slot with Deal Or No Deal, while Fox already lost 2 million viewers since last week for their game. On ABC the new series Miss Guided did a little better than the usual rerun of Lost, but Miss Guided was no rerun, it was the second & third episodes. In other words, it might move to Fridays very soon…
Smallville lost viewers again, with 3.4 million viewers watching last night. Is it the show, the network’s lack of promo, or just that there are less people watching TV nowadays than before the strike ?
At 9.00 you have two ways to look at it. Lost did loose 600 000 viewers since last week’s disappointing episode, and that may be a series low, but in the mean time it was also the most-watched program of the night. Unlike like week, last night there was no program that did better, either in total viewers or on the demo, than Lost did. So maybe it wasn’t the show, but the night…
Meanwhile Reaper was able to grab a few more viewers and that can only be good news.
At 10.00 CBS has no reruns, since their entire night was dedicated to Basketball, and Eli Stone used the opportunity to win the slot. Sadly though, at the same time it was last on the demo, beaten not only by the NCAA Basketball but also by the season finale of Lipstick Jungle.
