Thursday’s Numbers

Lost may have lost a million viewers since last week, but with a little over 15 million viewers is still doing pretty good. It’s way better than the average of last season (about 12 million) and it was the most-watched program of the night, and best performer of the 18-49 demo. Plus, another brilliant episode!
That wasn’t enough to make ABC the most-watched network, because CBS had a strong night with a new Survivor, and good a couple of shows that perform good in rerun. The Alphabet was first on the 18-49 demo though.
At 9.00 as mentioned Lost came first everywhere, followed by a rerun of CSI with a little above 3 million below. On The CW Supernatural lost about 300 000 viewers since last week, doing much less good than its lead-in Smallville, with 200 000 more viewers than last week, bringing it to 4 million viewers this week.
Finally at 10.00 Eli Stone did much less than last week, and was beaten by a rerun of Without A Trace on CBS, although last week Eli Stone was premiering, and ABC had Lost fans tricked into staying around. This wasn’t the case this time, but with 9.4 million viewers this wasn’t a failure, especially since it came first on the 18-49 demo with 3.6, a much stronger rating than the competition.
Speaking of which, the terrible Lipstick Jungle premiered on NBC and didn’t do so well, with only 7.6 million viewers where E.R. used to have 1.5 million more viewers, and a much better score on the 18-49 demo.
