Sunday’s Results

By fred | December 3, 2007

On this Sunday ABC proved everyone how the writers are important in the world of TV, because without them no Desperate Housewives, which did the best results of the night both on viewers and the 18-49 demo, and without which ABC probably wouldn’t have win the night as it clearly did.

NBC and its Sunday Night Football didn’t do as good as this time, with 6 million viewers less than one week ago (13.1 vs 19.14 million viewers); and without a strike I doubt Life Is Wild would still be on the air (1.2 million viewers, 0.4 on the 18-49).

At 9.00 came the most awaited episode of Desperate Housewives, and because I have yet to watch one episode of the show this season I have no idea how it actually went. That said, ABC can be pleased : the show went over the line of 20 million viewers hitting a season’s high at 20.6 million and an impressive 7.7 amongst adults 18-49. Let’s hope people enjoyed it, because sadly there won’t be a new episode for a long time now… (I hear they have another episode in the can, but prefer to reserve it for later, once the strike will be over.)

At 9.30 on Fox a new episode of American Dad was lost in the middle or reruns, and so there wasn’t as many people watching, obviously. (5.7 million) At 10.00 helped by a strong lead-in Brothers & Sisters grew its audience by 200 000 viewers.
