Sunday’s Numbers

Rerun. If I had to chose one keyword to sump last night, it would be rerun. A lot of them were on last night, and the most-watched program of the night was no other than, yes, a rerun.
Even Fox comedy night was made of four shows, one of them a rerun. Want to guess which one was the most watched of all ? It started with a new episode of The Simpsons watched by 7.3 million viewers, not a very good score for Homer and co, who have done (much) better in the past, even in rerun. Then King Of The Hill was down about one million viewers (6.2 million), and at 9.00 came the rerun of Family Guy, up by 400 000 viewers since last week with 7.5 million viewers, making it the most-watched program on Fox this Sunday night.
Then came a new (and disappointing) episode of Unhitched, watched by 800 000 less viewers than last week, though it performed a little better on the demo. Fox didn’t do so well on total viewers, but still managed to finish second on the 18-49 demo.
At 9.00 was also the second installment of Oprah’s Big Give, down almost 4 million viewers since its premiere last week. Oprah did good, but didn’t performed as much as its lead-in, a rerun a Extreme Makeover watched by 600 000 more viewers.
