Sunday’s Numbers

By fred | February 11, 2008

There wasn’t much on lats night, but the Grammy’s. And it’s no surprise that CBS won the night, thanks to The 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

There isn’t really anything to talk about at 8.00, and it’s about the same one hour later. The only new episode last night on the main networks was on ABC, at 10.00.

Yes, a new Brothers & Sisters was on last night, but don’t be ashamed if you don’t know it : you weren’t alone ! With only 8.6 million viewers the drama hit a new series low last night. Of course, last episode was sometime in January (01.13.08) and was already a series low, but there hadn’t been a new episode since December, when the show could count on Desperate Housewives to be a strong lead-in.

Why would ABC waste new episode like that is a mystery. Either they hate the show and tried to kill it, and they really are that stupid to think that whenever they would air a new episode, they’d get the same amount of people watching, even if the show hadn’t been on for weeks, had lost its lead-in, and with the strike everybody could easily think no more episodes were done / would air this season.

What do you think ? Could they be that dumb. (Hint: Yes, they totally can.)
