Monday’s Numbers

ABC thought they had it good when the night started, with their Dancing With The Stars getting all the best results of the night : 24.7 million viewers and a 6.2 on the 18-49 demo. And while the rest of the night wasn’t as good as that, it still was mostly good and they did win the night in the end on both ends.
Still, the not funny yet popular Samantha Who? moved to its new timeslot last night and lost about 3 million viewers on the way, and over 12 million viewers from its lead-in ! That gives as many people watching it (12.6 million) than leaving ABC. Also, it got beaten by CBS’ sitcom Two And A Half Men with 15.3 million viewers, which got a better score amongst the adults 18-49 as well (5.0 vs 4.1)
Next week Samantha will not having Dancing as strong lead-in, and will face Heroes season finale, so they could loose the second place. This week, Heroes wasn’t that far down with 11.9 million viewers (that’s over 1 million more than last week), and a strong 5.2 on the 18-49 demo.
Back at 8.00, ABC’s reality show was the newly picked up Chuck, watched by over half a million more viewers and beating How I Met Your Mother and their 8.1 million viewers by 300 000 viewers. Both shows tied on the 18-49 demo.
The CW’s series are still not working, Everybody Hates Chris getting 2.3 million viewers where last year it was getting one more million of them, and stronger results on the 18-49 demo (1.3 vs 0.9 this Monday)
Meanwhile Fox realized that their usual Monday shows suck real bad, given than both the reruns of House at 8.00 and Bones at 9.00 did better than the usual Prison Break and K-Ville.
At 10.00 CSI: Miami did a little less than last week but still comes out as a clear winner, and NBC’s Journeyman did better than usual. Maybe his fans decided to make an effort and watch it live, because there were half a million more watching than last week, and with October Road doing pretty bad on ABC, Journeyman got the second spot of its slot, both in viewers and on the 18-49 demo !
