Monday’s Numbers

Many things happens on Monday. The most notable of all probably being Fox loosing quite some viewers. Usually on Monday, while ABC had more viewers, Fox - coming second - was the winner on the demo. This time, not only was Fox down to the third place, beaten by ABC and CBS in total viewers, but they have to share the #1 spot on the demo with CBS ! And it’s not CBS doing better - it’s not actually - it really is Fox going down.
At 8.00 it started with 1.6 million viewers not returning to see a new episode of Bones, the show dropping below 3.0 on the demo (2.7 vs 3.2 last week) ! Along with Dancing With The Stars way ahead and a new Deal Or No Deal, Bones was this time beaten by CBS and the still-not-renewed sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The show may have lost 500 000 viewers, it still did pretty good finishing very close to Deal Or No Deal with 8.4 million viewers, and second on the demo with 3.5
Half on hour before that, The Big Bang Theory was back below the 3.0 on the demo, and below 8 million viewers as well, with 7.6 million and a 2.8 Not the best, yet not terrible in those sunny days at 8.00 Meanwhile Gossip Girl was down too, loosing 400 000 viewers since last week.
At 9.00 Dancing With The Stars finished very up as always, with 19.0 million viewers once again. But if Fox medical hit House was still the most-watched show of the night on the demo (5.0), it should be noted that the show lost the second place in viewers to the CSI-pinned version of Two And A Half Men by 200 000 viewers. Compared to last week House let 1.2 million viewers go, so that’s a little less than its lead-in but a global trend for Fox.
Samantha Who? lost quite some viewers again, down to 10.5 million where it used to keep 12.7 million of them one week ago, with a lead-in performing about exactly the same. Meanwhile Rules Of Engagement remained pretty stable, while One Tree Hill lost 300 000 viewers.
At 10.00 as expected CSI: Miami won the slot, with 13.9 million viewers so a bump of 300 000 viewers over last week, reaching a 4.0 on the demo. On NBC Medium was pretty stable, loosing 100 000 viewers but going up on the demo at the same time, while The Bachelor on ABC lost 800 000 million viewers.
