Monday’s Numbers
By fred | February 26, 2008
For another night ABC took the night, this time thanks to movie A Raisin In The Sun averaging close to 13 million. Meanwhile, with the help of the most-watched program of the night, Deal Or No Deal (15.3 million), NBC was able to take the second place both in total viewers and on the 18-49 demo.
At 8.00 as mentioned Deal Or No Deal was clear winner, followed by ABC’s movie and almost 12 million on ABC. As expected, and despite its lead-in gaining viewers, Welcome To The Captain kept loosing some, down to 5.3 million viewers only. Not as bad as I expected it to be actually…
But the big question was to see how Terminator would do, without its usually low lead-in Prison Break. Well, it’s not good. Moment Of Truth sure performed better, with 8.6 million viewers (not so good for that crap, btw) but then… While it was used to growing from its lead-in, this time Terminator lost 1.5 million viewers from its lead-in, that’s 1 million less viewers than it did last week !
So far the show was able to stay above 8 million viewers live and above 3.0 on the demo, this time it did not, falling down to only 7.1 million viewers and a 2.7 on the demo. I don’t want to say that even Prison Break didn’t fall so low, but really this is bad. Were people so disgusted by Moment Of Truth that they couldn’t stay around ?
Next week, for its two-hours season finale, the show better go at the very least above 8 million viewers, or else it’s doubtful it’ll be back. (Not that it’s guaranteed otherwise.) Which is a shame, cause it’s good.
