Monday’s Numbers [11.24.2008]

As always on Mondays, ABC was the winner of the night in total viewers while CBS took the demo. As for the others? Well, they try to survive… You can be sure Fox is dying for its ‘09 lineup packing House and 24 together to come to life!
At 8.00 CBS started off more than very well, both The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother getting more than 10 million viewers ! The former opened with a new series high at 10.19 million viewers and 3.9 on the demo, while the later had a new season high with 10.04 million and a nice 4.3 on the demo !
Meanwhile on NBC Chuck was slightly down (-100 000) with 6.62 million viewers and 2.5 on the demo, while things were really awful on Fox. Despite having a strong episode of a great show, only 4.62 million viewers tuned in (-700 000) for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and, worst of all, the show dropped below 2.0 on the demo (1.8) ! What the Hell is wrong with you people?
At 9.00 The Eye continued to do well, even though Two And A Half Men was down 300 000 viewers (14.92 million), it remained big winner on the demo with a 5.3 — leading into Worst Week still very strong with 10.35 million viewers and a 3.3 on the demo. On ABC, Samantha Who? was up 800 000 viewers with 11.93 million viewers (3.2 on the demo)
On NBC it seems insulting viewers works, as Heroes somehow stopped losing viewers. The show actually gained 200 000 viewers over last week, with 7.85 million “dipsh**s” watching (3.7 on the demo). On Fox, things still weren’t good with Prison Break only watched by 5.25 million viewers (-600 000)
On The CW it was harder for One Tree Hill without Gossip Girl as lead-in, the show losing half a million viewers as a result (2.21 million viewers, 1.0 on the demo).
At 10.00 everything was up: CSI: Miami was up 800 000 viewers with 14.15 million viewers (3.9 on the demo), Boston Legal was up 300 000 viewers with 8.68 million viewers (2.4), and even My Own Worst Enemy managed to go up with 4.25 million viewers (+300 000) and still 1.9 on the demo.
