Friday’s Numbers

By fred | April 13, 2008

Another slow Friday where no program could reach 10 million viewers, and the mast-watched network couldn’t even average 9 million viewers. The only things that might be worth noting is that The CW performed better on the demo than Fox, thanks to their always good performer, and not renewed, Friday Night Smackdown!

At 8.00 Ghost Whisperer was back and lost 600 000 viewers since last week, but don’t let that fool you : it was the best performing program of the night on the demo !

One hour later Canterbury’s Law was again doing pretty bad, down by 800 000 viewers. With 5.3 million viewers and 1.2 on the demo (less than its lead-in, a rerun of Bones!), I’m just amazed the show hasn’t been canceled already. (And really, it should, because let’s face it : it sucks.)

At 10.00 CBS kept the lead, this time with a new installment of Numb3rs, down 300 000 viewers since last week. It was still the most-watched program of the night with 9.6 million viewers. That’s about a million less than Ghost Whisperer two hours earlier, but our mathematicians didn’t performed as well on the demo as Jennifer Love Hewitt’s boobs (2.5 vs 2.3)
