Yet another Heroes casting news…

By fred | August 7, 2007

As hinted on the very last scene on Heroes last season finale, Hiro will be back on the past, the time of samurai where he’ll meet legendary samurai Takezo Kensei played by David Anders.
Yes, the legendary samurai is, oddly, not from there, but a blond Caucasian.

When hired, it was for a recurring role with a possibility to become regular. And even before the new season starts the promotion to series regular has already been done! That’s one more full addition to the show. That’s not all!

It doesn’t stop there, Deadwood’s Stephen Tobolowsky will appear in at least six episodes this season. And who knows, maybe he’ll be promoted to series regular sometime between now and the season premiere.

With so many newbies joining the show, I think it would be fair to be concerned about how much we’ll be seeing of, well, any of the characters on the show during each episode, newcomers or season one survivors.

Rumors are that many, many will come back from the first season, the list of newcomers for the second season is already longer than the list for season one, and back then it was already tough to get a little of everyone each time.

And if they keep adding new characters every season, which should be done, I mean, that’s even part of the point of Heroes: Origins after all, the show will rapidly have more regulars than viewers….
