WGA Awards Nominations

After the Golden Globes, the WGA Awards. Yes, there might be a strike going on right now, but still the nominees for the 60th Annual Writers Guild Awards were announced today, and the ceremony is scheduled for February 9. And it should take place, strike or no strike.
So let’s skip to the good parts, with the list of all nominations and once again in bold my votes.
Drama
- Dexter
- Friday Night Lights
- Mad Men
- The Sopranos
- The Wire
Not surprising to see here series we don’t get to see elsewhere, though they deserve recognition, like The Wire. I still say Life is missing, and here so is House…
Comedy
- Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Entourage
- Flight Of The Conchords
- The Office
- 30 Rock
Tough choice here, between 30 Rock and The Office, but I have to go with the later, hilarious like crazy and delivering a pretty amazing second season, while The Office had us to suffer those hour-long episodes…
New Series
- Damages
- Flight Of The Conchords
- Mad Men
- Pushing Daisies
- The Sarah Silverman Program
Okay here I’m pissed. I mean, Damages, excellent, awesome show. Pushing Daisies is here as well, totally deserves it. Happy to see The Sarah Silverman Program as well, it’s a pretty great thing. But Life people, Life !!
Life is the best new series of the year, hands down. I can’t tell you enough how much I love this show, it might be on NBC and not get the most amazing ratings yet, doesn’t change the fact that it is an impressive show, with some of the best writing and acting on TV.

No, nothing in bold. Not that I forgot, more that I can’t decide. It’s too hard, I can’t, I won’t… I’m sorry.
