The Slap Bet has its countdown !

For some reason there’s one sitcom that still hasn’t received the recognition it deserves, as its one of the greatest, funniest sitcom on TV : How I Met Your Mother
If you don’t know the show, stop everything you’re doing and go watch the first two seasons, they are simply filled with laughs and awesomeness, true story. For those who know their classics, the slap bet is a well-known thing, and was part of a great episode last season (S02E09).
An episode during which a bet was made between Barney and Marshall. But they weren’t betting for money, but for slapping the looser as hard as they could.
Too sure of himself, Barney assumed he won and it resulted in some “premature slapulation”, leaving Marshall with the right to slap Barney at any time, from there to eternity. No less.
The first two have already been delivered, but there’s still three to go. And CBS just put up on its website a slap bet countdown!
It’s good to promote the show a little, especially with this episode, a true classic. But as a fan, I don’t care about the countdown, I don’t want to expect it, I want to be as surprised as Barney!
I don’t want to see it coming, it’s just better, funnier. Like for the second one.
Somehow I hope the countdown will only be around for the next slap, not the others. Or, will have false info for a few of them.
For all fans of the show, though, I can only recommend Barney’s blog. Just like him, it’s awesome!
