The Nine will come back…

By fred | July 5, 2007

Many shows have been cancelled after only a few episodes this season, again. Among them was The Nine, a show that started good with a pretty interresting set up, but failed to succeed because obviously producers/writers were not thinking of the viewers and what they wanted to see.

The NineThe Nine was about a group of people, stangers to eachothers for most of them, who all got involved in a bank robbery, as hostages. During that long period of time they bonded, and became closer that they ever thought they would.
The problem of the show was simple: every episode was divided in two part : a flashback, of what happened in the bank. And the present time, weeks after it took place.

Only on this show, unlike others, what the viewers were really interrested & excited about was, for once, the flashbacks ! Because that, was the story. but, in order to keep things up as long as possible, each episode would only have one minute of flahsbacks, or over 40 minutes of present-crap.

Because, with its reserve way to work, the present time in The Nine was the flahsbacks, or flash forwards, whatever you call it, it was the boring & uninterresting part no once cared about. Only worst.

So it didn’t take, and ABC pulled it off the air after 7 episodes only. Well, fans of the show might be happy to hear that they’ve announce that the 6 remaining produced episodes will made it, as the show will return on August, 1st at 10.

Don’t get too excited though, because just like you didn’t had all the answers (far from it) after 7 episodes, you won’t after 13, since it was never intended to be the last episode of the show.
