The CW Schedule

One network after the other, schedule are coming in. And so we continue, with the new schedule for The CW.
As usual, some tidbit of info and the full schedule after the jump…
* CW president Dawn Ostroff announced that the network’s philosophy was to “create new hits“. Wow. Does that imply new shows must be hit within two episodes or they’re out, “a la” big network?
* Beauty And The Geek will premiere on September 18, and this new season will have a new twist : one handsome young guy and one smart geeky woman will be added to the mix. They keep “socially experimenting” I guess….
* Mention of canceled shows: Ostroff said that Gilmore Girls “had lost 25 percent of its audience” last season, and that they “didn’t want to see Gilmore Girls go on for another season and see the ratings go down even further. It was time to move on.” I’ll only say, it’s actually a good thing not to stretched a show too long and ruined it all. (Prison Break anyone?)
As all fans would agree, she confirmed that “it’s a shame Lauren Graham never got nominated [for an Emmy]“.
* Canceled shows still, little mention of Veronica Mars as she said she “gave [the show] every chance” to catch on. “There was no stronger champion of that show that me.”
* Aliens In America will premiere on October first, and watching a preview it looks actually pretty funny! Gilmore fans will be happy to see Scott Patterson around, who took the role because he found the show “terrifically funny” and “was pleased to stay in the CW family“.
