The CW announces fall premiere dates

By fred | July 20, 2008

The CWAnd now we have them all. After the four big networks, The CW announced their premiere dates for next season, and the most important thing to note is that while for most networks we will have to wait for mid-September if not October, things will start sooner on The CW.

Much like on Fox, things will begin on September 1st, with the return of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. It’s probably a good idea, especially for Gossip Girl, to get people hooked on those shows before there’s anything else on at that time. That said, how desperate does it look for The CW to put GG at 8.00 while promoting it as a show where everyone is having sex with everyone all the time ?

Anyways, new series 90210 premieres on September 2 with a two-hour special, while Privileged (previously Surviving The Filthy Rich) premieres one week later. Smallville and Supernatural both come back on September 18, and if you don’t see Reaper anywhere don’t panic, remember that the show has been sent back to midseason and won’t return until 2009 (no date has been set yet).
