The 65th Annual Golden Globes - Results
By fred | January 14, 2008
So last night it finally happened, NBC had the 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards Announcement Press Conference, or whatever they’re called it. I hear it was an absolute nightmare, a real horror, disgusting, unbearable, people stabbing themselves in the eyes to wash out what they had seen on NBC, and that was only due to Billy Bush’s hair !
Anyways, I’m sure NBC took care to explain that the mean WGA was all responsible for the mess that would follow, because they’re greedy evil bastards. Hopefully, people will be more inclined to trust, say, Tom Hanks, blaming the AMPTP. (Yes, he talked about the upcoming Oscars, but we all know that’s very much the same deal.)
I did not bother to watch whatever crap NBC had in store, if you have, you’re very brave, and I am sorry you had to go through this. Anyways, are are the winners of this year’s Golden Globes :
As usual, I’ll put the winners in bold, and what was my vote in italic.
Best Drama
- House
- Mad Men
- Big Love
- Grey’s Anatomy
- The Tudors
- Damages
I can’t say I’m surprised, Mad Men has been receiving love from all over the place, everyone seems to love it. I don’t. I’ve watched the first episodes, I didn’t really liked it, it was slow and a bit boring for my taste. But what saddens me the most from this category, is that the fantastic series that is Life wasn’t even nominated, even though it should have won, hands down, while Grey’s Anatomy still was….
Best Comedy
- 30 Rock
-Californication
-Entourage
-Pushing Daisies
- Extras
What ? Wait, I must have read that wrong, let me check… nope, it really says Extras. Well, if you ask me it only proves that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association does not watch 30 Rock, which is a real shame because it’s the funniest sitcom on the air, and it really should get more recognition. Oh well, at least they didn’t go crazy and vote for Californication…
