Terminator Marathon In August !
By fred | June 10, 2008
Funny thing: earlier today I was mentioning Lifetime great support for the return of their hit Army Wives, and how before the season 2 premiere this past Sunday the network made sure all viewers could see (again) the first season. I also wished that some of the main networks would follow that example and re-air some of their new series before their return for a new season this fall, especially those freshmen who will otherwise have been away from our screens for almost a year.
Well, at least one network is smart enough to know that promoting a show and ensuring people watch it is actually a big deal, and that’s why Fox is going to run a marathon of the first season of its only returning new series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, starting Sunday, August 10 at 9.00 Then, all the other episodes from the first season will follow, one episode a day from Sunday to Wednesday, for two weeks. (Yes, due to the writers’ strike only 9 episodes were made for the first season.)
So whether you’ve watched the show already or not, this is your chance. The show is actually pretty good, so if you haven’t really watched you should give it a chance. Just in case, if you somehow manager to never watched (or remember) the movies, here’s all you need to know before heading into the show.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the complete first season will air on Sunday 10, Monday 11, Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13, Sunday 17, Monday 18, Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20, and Sunday 24, on Fox of course.
The two-hour second season premiere will then air two weeks later, on Monday, September 8 at 8.00
And here’s hoping that other networks will follow the way and do the same; again, I have shows like NBC’s Life and ABC’s Pushing Daisies in mind…
