Reaper renewed for a second season, Aliens In America canceled

By fred | May 10, 2008

ReaperWell the good news keep flooding in : recently we learned that ABC had renewed Eli Stone for a second season - though, of course, nothing completely official until the upfronts - and in the same way it seems clear now that The CW will announce that Reaper has been picked up for a second season !!

Another great news, one that only makes sense, because much like Eli Stone, Reaper isn’t just a great show (and pretty hilarious as well) but it has constantly been improving over time, delivering some of its best episodes so far in the past few weeks. I couldn’t be happier to know that it will come back, and here’s to hoping that next season we’ll get a night uniting Reaper and Supernatural !

In the mean time, if you haven’t watched the show you really should check it out! It stars Bret Harrison as Sam Oliver, whose parents sold his soul to the Devil (brilliantly portrayed by Ray Wise), so now Sam must hunt down escaped souls and send them back to Hell, helped by his buddies Ben (Rick Gonzalez) and the always hilarious Sock (Tyler Labine). You can check out all our reviews of Reaper season one.

As with ABC decision, one stays and one goes : for The CW the show that won’t be returning is Aliens In America. I personally won’t miss it, because while the pilot was fun and had potential, I don’t think it lived up to it, things got very repetitive and much less funny, but if you liked it, time to say goodbye…
