Quarterlife to premiere on NBC February 18

By fred | December 19, 2007

QuarterlifeBecause networks are a bunch of stupid liars, while they might pretend not to need writers to get their business working, because they can fill the air with crappy games and shit like that, all of us TVoholics know better. In fact, so do they. Which is exactly why they’re trying to use other ways to add fresh writers’ work on their schedules, to get new scripted content : because they know that’s what people love the most, and because they know that’s what advertisers too, love the most.

Many networks are already looking at their cable sisters to steal good series - which is bad, really, because even when they don’t butcher the shows to make them more family-friendly, they’re trying to do without writers and attract supporters of the writers by using the writers’ own work !

Really, I’m happy that Psych will be given chance to a wider audience on NBC, but I hope no one will watch it. Not because of the show, but because it would help NBC in its fight against those I support, those who are making all shows - from House to Lost to Life to, of course, Psych itself - what they are. Really, if you love the shows, and want them all back soon, do NOT watch them, tune out !

Anyways, back on topic. In another desperate move NBC had shown “interest” for Quarterlife. Well, it’s been announced that the show will premiere on February 18 at 9.00, as an hour-long drama series.

And again : whatever you think of the show, if you want to watch it : go to quarterlife.com and do so right now, online (100% legal and free), but please don’t ever tune in on NBC.
