Prison Break Will Have A Fourth Season !!

This season of Prison Break was pretty awful, let’s face it. It was, but to be fair when it started to get a little better then.. nothing. Nothing, because only 13 episodes could be completed out of the 22 originally ordered, due to the writers’ strike obviously.
And after the season finale, we all wondered whether or not the show would be renewed. As I said then, I would have personally be fine if the show was not to come back, because although many questions were left open, many stories also found a conclusion and it could have worked as an opened ending.
But that was not Fox’s plan…
Yes, this season was really bad, and no it didn’t perform as good as the previous ones. Still, writers have ideas for more - note that it doesn’t mean those are good ideas… - but the show always had around 8 million of fans each week, and a solid 3 on the beloved 18-49 demo. That was enough, and Fox renewed the show for a fourth season, ordering 22 episodes.
I guess much like last season took place inside a prison, trying to recreate what the first season was, the new season will now take place outside, much like season two used to.
I’ll be honest, I’m really not sure about this. At least it seems that Michael won’t be going back to Sona for weeks to save Sucre, and I sure hope he won’t have to escape from some prison in Los Angeles or wherever. I would be fine not seeing Lincoln, Sucre, T-Bag, or Bellick ever again, and focusing only on Michael getting his revenge for Sara’s murder.
But somehow I doubt this is what will happen. I mean, dragged over 22 episodes ? Can anyone else see boring filler coming in the way ?Not helping is also the fact that apparently, that stupid idea of a spin-off about a female version of the show, you remember that ? Well, it’s not forgotten. It could very well happen, and its main character will simply be introduced in the upcoming season of Prison Break, since it couldn’t happen last season.
I almost wonder if this is the only reason why Prison Break is coming back, to launch its female spin-off…
Anyways, what do you think about this return ? Good news, or bad news ? Happy to see Michael coming back with a vengeance, or not ?
