Oceanic Airlines back in business !
By fred | December 28, 2007
If you know what Oceanic Airlines is, you know why this is posted here. When their infamous Flight 815 crashed, the company went downhill and a lot of weird things started to happen. After the terrible crash, who may or may not had any survivors, the company stopped all activities.
But that’s apparently going to change, as they announced today their return to the airways, despite their website still announcing “all flights cancelled”. But beginning December 31, operations and flights to nine markets are announced to resume, “Taking You Places You Never Imagined“. Supported destinations are Los Angeles, Calif.; Tustin, Calif.; Ames, Iowa; Miami, Flo.; New York, NY; Portland, Ore.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Seoul, South Korea; and, of course, Sydney, Australia.
Michael Orteig, president of Oceanic Airlines, declared in a statement : “We are very eager to resume flying and apologize for any inconvenience our temporary closure may have caused our loyal customers. Oceanic Airlines is proud to be a top-tier flight provider and looks forward to providing travelers with many more years of unparalleled service.”
In a way it only makes sense. After all, wasn’t Jack traveling for free on their lines somewhere in the future, our future ? Now the question remains, how did he get to do that ? That, and, you know, other questions such as “where the Hell is Juliet” and such…
Either way, the Emmy-winning drama will return with half a season, eight episodes, in its new time slot : Thursdays at 9.00, starting January 31st, on ABC.
