NYPD Blue: $1.4 million for a naked butt
By fred | January 28, 2008
Seriously people, this would be funny if it wasn’t actually real and if those people weren’t dead serious. Morons over at the FCC, which I’m sure are getting paid actual with actual money to get up with shit like that, have levied a $1.4 million fine against 52 ABC stations for an episode of NYPD Blue that aired back in 2003.
I don’t even know where to start here, what’s the most stupidest thing ever ? Is it that this aired five years ago and they never did anything until recently which tend to indicate no one actually cared about this scene ? Is it that they asked for that ridiculous amount of money for nothing but a butt ? Or that I’m sure people would actually pay to get to see an extended shot of Charlotte Ross’s bare butt.
Here’s the video of the scene :
Seriously, everyone is entitled to its opinion, but what the Hell is wrong with those people ? There is absolutely nothing sexual in that scene, none, whatsoever . It was a scene highlighting the domestic difficulties of the blended family of Det. Andy Sipowicz, in which his young son walked in on his stepmom as she was about to step into the shower.
And why do they not see a problem to have (extreme) violence everywhere on every hour of the day on almost every channel, but if you get to see a butt, and a nice one at that, then it’s the end of the world !!? Are those people so terrified of sex that they can’t bare with anything that comes close to naked people ? How long before they order every women to wear a Burqa (on TV), because of their sexual frustration ? And then, what will happen when they turn to “the other side” ? Jesus!…
