NBC to sue WGA : What is NBC’s problem exactly ?
By fred | February 13, 2008
There’s something really wrong with NBC and the people there. NBC is a network you would love to love, because they have plenty of great people working there, and the have some really awesome like 30 Rock, Life, The Office, Scrubs, and plenty more.
But they always seems to be trying to make you hate them, whether it’s using freaking annoying ads all over the screen when you’re (trying to be) watching your favorite show, or canceling shows without regards to their fans, or putting Deal Or No Deal six time a day on the air and pretending they have “all new” material for the week, you just want them to die, in a very slow and painful way. And it’s all their fault.
Like when you hear this : According to Nikki Finke, NBC and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are this close to take legal action against the WGA, for actions leading to the cancellation of this year’s Golden Globes. Seriously, it’s not a joke.
So I’m asking you now, shouldn’t we really consider taking legal actions ourselves against them, for canceling Journeyman but not Bionic Woman, for putting freaking annoying ads all over our shows while we’re trying to watch them, for investing billions in publicity for crappy shows, and giving up on good ones with a growing fanbase, or simply for being annoying morons ?

Well said. I love the Thursday night comedy block, but I’ve taken to watching them online because I can’t stand the obnoxious pop-up ads for every upcoming show they have, and even worse, Universal movies (big surprise there). ABC and CBS are reasonable in their pop-ups, but like you said, NBC gives you a reason to wanna pull an Elvis and shoot the TV.
