Lost Two-Hour Season 5 Premiere On Wednesday, January 21st

It’s been confirmed now that the new season of Lost will premiere on ABC Wednesday, January 21st at 9.00 - preceded by a recap episode at 8.00 as usual - with a two-hour season premiere, something I think we have never seen.
This new season will last 16 weeks, as per the original plan, even though it obviously includes 17 episodes — as will the next season, thus making up for the two episodes lost during the writers’ strike earlier this year.
After the two-hour premiere, the show will remain in that slot, Wednesdays at 9.00 The ABC hit-drama finds back a night it knows well, which is actually somewhat of a bad news as it means we will now get two of the best series on television face to face : Lost on ABC, and Life on NBC.
No word yet on what shows will air before and after, nor what will happen to current occupant Private Practice (the only series to have been picked up for a full season out of the current ABC Wednesday lineup). More news very soon as ABC should reveal its mid-season schedule…
