Life to get a boost from Heroes !

By fred | November 16, 2007

LifeIn the words of Professor Hubert Farnsworth, “Good news everyone!”

NBC may have realized that their best new series this season, and I believe best new series of the seasons overall, Life, could help a little boost. As I said while reporting Wednesday’s numbers, despite the unstoppable sinking of its lead-in, Bionic Woman, Life has been doing better & better for the past weeks, hitting almost 7 million viewers this Wednesday while its lead-in fell down to 6.3 million viewers.

As a result, NBC decided to try and give it a little boost, from no other than Heroes. On December 3rd at 9.00 NBC will air the “mid-season finale” of Heroes, an episode that might very well end up being the actual season finale because of the writers’ strike.

This episode that, despite the shows unsatisfying results and awful season, one might expect to be seen by a lot more people than Bionic Woman (this Monday Heroes was watched by over 11 million viewers), will serve as a quite stronger lead-in into the first half of a two-part episode of Life. The second episode will air in Life’s usual slot the same week, Wednesday December 5th at 10.00

This is really a good news, because (a) Life could help a little boost, it totally deserves it, and (b) it shows NBC is aware of its potential, so they might not cancel it too quickly. This only bad news is that, in those times of strike, this two-part episode might very well actually be, as well, the last of the season. So the boost might come in a little late…
