Heroes second season, it sounds bad

Ok, maybe I’m hating the show so much now that I fail to be completely fair, I don’t know. But either way, it’s their fault making that waste of a finale.
As I previously mentioned, the few hints given out by Masi Oka had me fear that the second second of Heroes wasn’t looking good already.
Well, it gets worst.
Alright, so yes Heroes creator Tim Kring had stated several times in the beginning that he had originally intended each season to follow a new set of characters. But then, probably because of (stupid?) fans and such, he went back and stated that characters from the first season would still be around during the new season.
I think this was a big mistake.
When you are creator/showrunner on a project, you should absolutely not let the fans affect your work on every decision, and especially big ones. I’m not saying ignore them, and thank God Lost team got ride of Nicky & Paulo, but the fans shouldn’t always be listen to. They tend to be quite stupid, at times. Especially some kind of fans, and there can be many of them, who always wants things to last and last and last….
No, it’s not always best to have your favorite show renewed. It’s good to know when to end. Or how. And before that, it’s also good to know where you want to lead the audience, and what journey you want to have them go through.
Guess what? When it comes to such decisions, fans can be terrible advisers. Especially if you want to challenge their expectations ; But I don’t think this was ever much the case with Heroes anyways…
Seeing how the story of the first season of Heroes went, the problem is that it feels like it’s one big story, that needs some continuity in order to make sense. Therefore, some characters must come back. So apparently Kring had changed his mind and was not going for his original idea, but “resorted” to a different approach.
Yet, it never really left him : he still wanted a new season with a new story, and new characters. Which may have been a factor resulting into that incredibly awful finale they did, trying to somehow conclude that story here all at once, to leave room for another one. And resulting in the mess that seems to be going on now.
