Heroes loves BitTorrent too

While promoting Heroes all over the world, as part of their pretentious “we’re the greatest show of all time ever” tour, actor Masi Oka, who plays Hiro Nakamura, said he enjoyed the reaction of french fans of the show, who had already seen it even though the show hadn’t aired on TV yet.
This is obviously possible thanks to the Internet, where you can find all show in high (HDTV) quality - in not in a shitty dubbed version - right after the episodes aired for the first time in the States.
And while Oka explained that “it takes a lot of money to create a really high quality show. We have a lot of support from the advertisers … all the buyers. We just feel like we’re doing a disservice to them if we do BitTorrent“, and couldn’t do otherwise than admit that this whole thing was actually a good thing for the show.
“If we get a lot of people to watch the show, it’s only going to be great for the show in the future too.” Sure is, as many fans will also likely buy the DVDs as he mentioned, taking care to add that he was “not advocating BitTorrent“. Of course not…
Although of this is only true under one condition : the show must be good!
