Fresh blood for E.R.
By fred | June 17, 2008
For its final season, NBC hit-drama E.R. is adding new blood to the show, welcoming four new interns to the show :
Shiri Appleby (previously seen in Six Degrees and soon to appear of NBC’s Fear Itself) and Julian Morris will play siblings Daria and Andrew Wade. Daria is a smart and eager to learn, while Andrew uses his looks, smarts and charm to get ahead.
Emily Rose (previously seen on Brothers & Sisters and Jericho) will play Tracy Martin, an ambitious intern who likes to control things, which often doesn’t go over well with her superiors.
Victor Rasuk will play Ryan Sanchez, a native New Yorker who’s a tad nervous and is often found on his cell phone, fielding questions from his wife.
Executive producer David Zabel said that “the new group of young characters — played by four charming and singular actors — adds a burst of fresh energy and a bunch of different personalities for us to play off of as we enter our 15th and final season. So while we will be reconnecting with the history of E.R., as well as telling the ongoing stories of our current regulars, we also will track the development of these new young doctors.”
I’ll admit that it’s been a few years now since I have tuned in to E.R. so I don’t even really know who’s (still) on the show and who is not, but I might tune in for the final season. Because it’s the very last one, and now because Shiri Appleby has been added to the cast, too.
Commenting on her work of the NBC drama, Shiri Appleby recently addressed her fans : “Right now, I am working on a little show called ER. I’m playing a new intern along with three other actors. We’re having a blast. The cast and crew are so incredible. It’s one the best sets I have ever been on. I can’t wait for you all to see it. Me, a doctor? Who knew…”
I do wonder what happened to USA new series To Love And Die though. In 2007 it was reported that the show had been picked up by USA and received an order for 11 more episodes (a pilot episode had been shot already), and for a while the show was planned to come on the air about the same time In Plain Sight would… no words since. Anybody knows/heard anything ?
