Fox: More Fringe And Less Terminator ??
By fred | October 2, 2008
* The first officially canceled new series of the season was Fox’s Do Not Disturb after only 3 episodes made it to the air. Sounds very much like Fox, but to be fair the show was horrible and should have never aired to being with.
* Meanwhile, while it won’t be the first official pick-up for a new series (The CW already picked up 90210 for a full 22-episode order), Fox announced the back-nine pick up for J.J. Abrams’ latest creation, Fringe, bringing it to a full 22-episode season order. While maybe not the mega-hit some thought it would be, the show remains one of the strongest new series of the fall so far, and performs well on the beloved 18-49 demo — After four episodes, Fringe averaged 10.5 million viewers and 4.2 on the demo.
* Sadly though, things aren’t looking too good for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Four episodes into its sophomore season, the show only managed to average 5.8 million viewers and a 2.2 on the demo, and apparently the network is not only disappointed by those numbers, but some executives also tend to think the show is dragging lead-out Prison Break down.
A Fox source told SyFy Portal that “all I can say is that production will likely stop, and I would think that Fox might try to air some of the episodes already in the can, but I don’t know. They don’t want to lose Prison Break, so there could be some schedule shuffling in the future.” Obviously none of this has been confirmed by Fox, but this isn’t a good sign.
I think it might be time to send letters to Fox people, if you don’t want to lose Glaubot and everyone else. Despite low ratings the show is actually quite good, and it deserves a fair chance, and at least a full season pick-up! Don’t you think??

Shows: Do Not Disturb, Fringe, The Sarah Connor Chronicles

FOX just recently said that these rumors are pure speculation and that no decision on Terminator has been made or is even close to being made at this point.
Well that’s good, I sure hope so. Especially since there’s plenty other possibilities to explore before just giving up on the show, like first putting it back at 9.00 with Prison Break as lead-in, or maybe moving it to Wednesdays after Bones…
